It was supposed to be a 12 months ban but was reduced to 8 on account of Toney showing remorse and a Dr assessing him as having a gambling addiction.

Interesting precedence to set.

The outcome needed is that the bloke gets the support he needs. And football learns from this

Not just football.

I believe in personal responsibility. Toney is in a position financially to afford the best therapy out there. Other members of the public with addiction issues simply don't have that luxury and need help just as much.

Toney could use this opportunity to be a shining example to those people less fortunate and form a charity or a campaign to provide aid to those that need it most.

if everton lose and we draw then this rule change will have been the difference between relegation and staying up.

They’ve absolutely put this in for potential added drama on the final day of the season. Too obvious to just implement it on the final day, so they do it a GW earlier. Still obvious anyway. Manipulation if it goes against us and Everton win it in the 98th, brilliant change if Vardy keeps us up in the 100th min.

He wasnt really at the time that the offences took place

i assume that he must have got some help since it all happened or he's managed to move his addiction onto a different sport (or casinos)

It was mentioned on talksport earlier (albeit by Jim White) that he was still gambling - casinos.

Spurs consider themselves bigger than what they are, massive impressive stadium yes, but an empty trophy room. Owner that don't spend, squad that's rapidly agining, not in the champions league constantly. Tottenham are no bigger than likes of Villa and Newcastle.

It's amazing to think in the time Spurs have won nowt, Swansea, Wigan, Leicester x2 have all won things and spent 10x less. Chelsea lifted the europa league during a transfer embargo as well.  Tottenham need to face reality there not of the main elite. That's not cause I don't like them but it's not an attractive job to top coaches. They consider Tottenham being too small.

Not that I like all this "elite" stuff but both Villa and Newcastle have won nothing recently, just like Spurs, but have played in the second tier. Spurs haven't been in the second tier in the same time, nowhere near it.

Great to see that only 3 of the greedy 6got into the champions league. Also looks like 2 of the greedy 6 won't even make europe despite spending obscene amount ts of money

You mean rather than spending huge amounts on manager and player salaries per £ of Revenue........oh hang on a minute that could not possibly lead to relegation.................I think we need to be very careful passing judgement .............Fulham and Bournemouth must be laughing at us, Everton and Leeds...........sad sad days

Anyone see this and think it’s the add for a new ITV crime drama show.

Big Sam the no nonsense old school detective with questionable tactics, but gets the job done.

Smithy, plays it by the book and does not approve of Big Sam’s tactics - they eventually begin to understand each other as it becomes apparent that DCI Dyche is on the take and they need to work together to bring him down.

Just like Line of Duty, Sky are suggesting that everyone is H; Bournemouth, Spurs and West Ham.

Keep thinking that Bournemouth will get a goal in the first half and then they'll put everyone behind the ball to keep a clean sheet..

Only for us to start with a back 5 and 2 DMs and don’t bother attacking until it’s too late….
