People are way too protective of their age. They're 19 and 20 not 11 or 12. We all did stupid stuff at that age but I'm absolutley certain everyone was more aware than that.

True but most probably you were 1000 times more educated when you were 19 and 20 than all these footballers.

Watching ManC v Forest last night, I had to marvel at Man City's squad. Not just the names we know but equally the kids that they were bringing in. Yes, sure, they've got shed loads of dosh but even so, they're using it pretty darned effectively.

It's about money and the brand. If we were based in London or Manchester with some Saudis in control our team now would look like this under Rodgers:

Schmeichel

Castagne

Amartey

Fofana

Justin

Kante

Tielemans

Grealish

Maddison

Mahrez

Haaland

😜

We haven't lost a game by six goals since we came up. Bundesliga Olympiakos managed it in five games. Eritage.

Since the 1999/2000 season, we've been involved in six games where one side has scored six times.

00/01, PL, Arsenal (a) 1-6

01/02, LC, Leeds (h) 0-6

02/03, D1, Ipswich (a) 1-6

10/11, Ch, Portsmouth (a) 1-6

12/13, Ch, Ipswich (h) 6-0

21/22, PL, Man City (a) 3-6

So we've not lost a league game by a six goal margin this century, unlike Forest!

No match during this period has seen seven or eight goals scored by one side, and one was where we scored nine, of course.

@The Bear how come you're letting Dendoncker go so cheap? What's the craic there?

We're after another midfielder (someone younger) and he's just an average squad player who's currently 4th choice. Gets about the pitch well but doesn't really tackle or pass and his finishing is horrific.

He served his purpose for us as versatile player who could also play CB. Plus he runs like someone is behind him pulling him back by the nostrils :D

We bought him for about £12m so we did well to get our money back for him plus a little profit. Also helps offset our spending so far this window.

Same season as the Ipswich win we beat Huddersfield 6-1 as well.
