Premier League 2022/23 Thread

4-6 weeks out for Fofana they say.

In Rodgersspeak that would be him out for the season…

Joking aside, though, that’s Fofana’s already slim World Cup hopes gone up in smoke. He probably won’t play again until Boxing Day.

Half our wage bill on one player.

Would like to know what his s/o fee was ……….

they got a £200m player for £50m

What they have to give him in wages and s/o fee is predictated on what his release fee is from Man City ….

if that’s £75m then you would think the player can demand the best part of 100m in additional wages/s o fee. that 900k/week over four years is worth pretty much 100m (he would expect a salary of 400k) so maybe these huge wages are I/o the fee.

I presume the below image was from someone watching on the TV, as those times virtually align with us singing Forest get battered which I'm guessing probably sounded like their lot singing Forest are massive but alot louder. Would explain all the weirdos banging on about how they out sung us which is odd as inside the ground apart from 10 minutes around the 60 minute mark they were very quiet. Last 10 minutes you couldn't hear a peep from them as the away end swiftly departed and we were in full voice mocking their stupid chant.

£80 million for a fridge and £75 million for a crock. John Rudkin's Real Deal.

Didn't Chillwell have a leg break as well.

If this is reoccurring injury for Fofona then lol at Chelsea.

edit: just seen its not, oh well. :D

Ermmm what?

Good to see tbh. He took them from bottom of the Championship to the Premier League within the same season. They'll probably go down but it's nice to see the same manager given a chance to get them back up again, similar to when Dyche was relegated with Burnley.

According to some Michael Beale leaving has probably made a pretty big impact on him.

Gerrard actually said, something along the lines of, it would take him "years" to become a good as Beale is as a coach.

Beale currently sitting nicely in the Championship play offs. Obviously rated well as a coach, and now doing okay so far as a manager.

Tbh, could be any number of reasons for doing this

they’ve certainly made it more expensive to sack him but it should help the dynamics in the changing room where some players may have been thinking that they needn’t respect him because he wouldnt be there much longer (his contract expired in the summer)

Obviously backing him to keep them up which is fair enough but how much do Forest fans trust their owners to stick by him if they keep losing?

I suspect they have seen the fan reaction to the reports Cooper might get sacked and decided to keep with him.

Whereas when we sacked  Munoz for example last season most of the fan base agreed with it.

Just they didn't realise we'd end up with worse appointments.
