Definitely think this is it for Gerrard.

They’ve spent plenty of money (but have been very unlucky with injuries to their key signings), but nevertheless… they look rubbish

Hopefully they go for Rodgers. But more in hope!

Annoying thing is about the Maddison one is that it seems he has to play out of his skin every game to get a look in. One off day and he has to start again. Mount has been so every all season but has a good game and instantly back to top.

Probably stating the obvious but our next 2 games really are season defining. Come out of them without a decent return and we'll be totally adrift at the bottom.

We were saying this 2 games ago and got 1 point lol

Gerrard the next manager to be sacked before Rodgers - you certainly won't expect the Villa board to dither and delay and kick the can down the road the way our board has.

I think they have looked decent. Extremely positive compared to us

Can easily see both Gerrard and Husenhuttl going before Rodgers

Might help that I think Villa might be interested in Rodgers which would help us out

This is probably Gerrard's last game at Villa, on the back of an OK performance against Chelsea where you can really pin individuals (both goalkeepers and Mings) as the main reason they've lost, despite being 16th. Meanwhile Brendan Rodgers is untouchable running a better side into the ground. Totally laughable.

It’s time to turn our anger and frustrations at the owner. His indecision is unacceptable.

They have chucked a tonne of money in backing Gerrard. No one better than Rodgers to take that project forwards in my opinion. He will have them playing some amazing stuff and they will likely finish top 6 next season as he will use the funds available to him really wisely in the summer.

Would we take Gerrard?

He’s quite clearly been found out to just be the face of the operation.

His highly rated assistant manager left and it’s gone to pieces

Rodgers would do ok at Villa because that’s what he does. He’d turn them around, get them mid table…but then any long term plan would have to be torn up as he decimates the squad.

The Bournmouth game was season defining. Winning that would have got us out of the bottom 3. Its hard to see where wins come from and we look adrift.

You’ve watched a different second half to me then.
They could have played for hours and still not score
