Howe deserves a lot of credit tbf. 7 players, Schar, Burn, Longstaff, Joelinton, Almiron, Wilson and Willock starting today who were also in the side when they were struggling.

The love in for their fans grates more as if fans in the North East love football more than anyone else.

They were managed by Steve Bruce tho, almost certainly made them look worse than they are.

Football is also about momentum and dropping 200m in the last 10 months is a significant  addition of momentum even if all the players aren’t on the pitch

Before we start to say how great Newcastle are and blow smoke up Eddies arse should we look at the competition first?
It was said many times about our league winning season how poor the others were, can this season be similar?
Apart from Man C and Arsenal the top 6 have been woeful Liverpool look like they will struggle to make the EU conference let alone top 4, Chelsea all over the shop and remove Kane from Spurs they useless.

Im not being salty and fair play to Eddie but Newcastle are riding the confidence wave whilst the ‘norm’ are really struggling, it was also Villa they just pumped 😂

Can't see Newcastle maintaining their current form.

I can to some extent. Decent squad, no European distractions and have confidence in abundance. Genuinely see similarities with how they’ve carried on their previous seasons form into this, with our title win season. Not for a moment suggesting they’re contenders but expect them to finish in the Europa positions.

I think Newcastle will go balls out for Maddison in January and get him. They’ll have their sites firmly set on Europe now.

Rknorboubbish...All our best players leaving in January...

For every window, the same boring statements..

Capable of top 4, not yet there for top 2.

Brighton a good shout for top 6.

Though surprising what the winter period might spring up...& a couple of unfortunate injuries might pop up..
