I'm not sure.  They've positioned themselves well but so far their wins away at Spurs and Fulham are the only wins they've had against top half opposition.

Since their defeat by Liverpool, their upturn in form has been against Palace, Bournemouth, Fulham, Brentford, Man U, Everton, Spurs and Villa.  Total points haul 18 out of 24.  That's good form and better than us but even we would go into that run of fixtures thinking we should be able to get 18 points at least - there are 6 winnable fixtures in there.  Our form this season shows that we haven't achieved that and even if we restarted the season now I'm not saying we would.  But Newcastle, whilst playing well right now, will have tougher runs.

Playing three of the big six in nine games is average difficulty

18 points from nine games is champions league form

we got that return in the first half of the two seasons we finished fifth

we wouldn’t now and we didn’t last season

they are bang on CL form and their league position reflects that

Am glad some of their fans have a sense of concern, despite how well they're doing currently.

Fair play to them. The response that their LGBTQ+ group gave when pressed about the Saudi’s stance on matters regarding them was hilarious. Everyone turning a blind eye because they apparently deserve success after all these years of supposed hardship, whatever it may mean morally/ethically.

I'm trying to make a Darwin joke about him evolving, but there's no point.

He's shite lol

Of course he’s not shite. Yet another hyperbolic comment made on FT, of which there are millions.

But he was brought at a huge amount of money to score goals and the chances he had yesterday would have been taken by an in-form striker.
Klopp’s reign is becoming tenuous at the moment. Losing to the top sides is one thing, but losing to Leeds, at home, is something completely different.

The issue is their midfield I think. It is ageing, and slow. Thiago is a wonderful playmaker but so easily over-run if the opposition put him under pressure (like Tielemans). They needed to recruit a younger, more energetic central midfielder in the summer. They didn’t get one and are now paying the price.

Can’t work out the tv scheduling this weekend.

Top of the league, 2pm kick off with no one else playing… but nope…

Getting worse and worse each week.

Hope the next round of rights sees a massive change.

We’re back in the zone again. Other results not being too kind to us. How’s to show this season is going to be a relegation scrap for half the teams. We just have to win all our winnable games and drag ourselves clear of that mess. Dangerous times

perfect situation really. Forest would have been starting to build up confidence and an early goal let’s the doubts creep back in.

A  tonking would be wonderful

its genuinely crazy how they spent all that money but the line up still looks so poor on paper. They just now have a bunch of average players to keep happy instead of focusing on 4/5 quality players.

I read this twitter thread a while back and I would say most of what this guy said is ringing true about him. Especially the lack of awareness and quality in the final third.

European games 2 weeks in a row so not much wiggle room. United + Arsenal have to play Sunday

Sky wanted Liv v Leeds but Liv playing Tues CL, so moved them out the early Sunday slot to evening Sat. Simple

There isn't less games being shown

Forest goal difference getting a hammering.

Although we didn't get anything from Man City it was also good for us that it was only a 1-0 defeat and we have picked up some clean sheets recently

Goal difference could be very important if we stay down here all season
