How does measuring 10 inches become any easier than just an inch? It makes it much more difficult and ambiguous.

Using the players feet makes sense, but offside is offside. The rule works (could be better, granted).

Insert penis joke here.

The authorities have pissed about with the offside rule over the years and with the advent of VAR we are where we are.

If a player is in front of the last defender by a gnat's cock he is offside.

We've brought this saga all on ourselves and in future we should all be careful what we wish for.

On the offside and VAR I'd take something from cricket, for marginal dicison with technology they have umpires call.

With off sides you could say anything less the the a set limit say 5 inches, goes with the onfield dicison and thing over goes with the technology.

That what you stop all the massive mistakes and we aren't have goes ruled off for being 1mm off side and gives power back to the on field officials.

Interesting game Villa vs Spuds. Really despise spuds but don’t want villa to pull away from us either in the table. What result does everyone else want?

Would rather keep Villa in check. Spurs win is preferable in that respect.

Some interesting games this week though, and also emphasises why we need to win against Fulham to try and make a bigger gap between us and teams below us:

Southampton vs Forest
Aston Villa vs Wolves
Leeds vs West Ham
Man Utd vs Bournemouth

The first 3 is where teams will take points off each other, and the last game we'd like a Man Utd win...

As much as diving needs to be punished, players faking head injuries when they go in for challenges and it's proven there's NO contact needs to be stamped out too.

Bissouma just did it then. Challenged Watkins for the ball. Watkins went in with his foot; Bissouma went in with his head. Watkins didn't touch him, but then the ref stopped play because he believed Bissouma had a head injury.

Also as much as I don't like Spurs, or Man Utd, or Liverpool, those teams winning and overhauling Newcastle might finally end this media love in. Currently sat 3rd but have played a game more than everyone close to them. A Spurs win takes them 1 point behind on the same number of games, a Man Utd win takes the above Newcastle. Liverpool win and its a 3 point gap, Chelsea win their 2 games and its a 4 point gap. Also should Arsenal and Man City win theirs too, they go 5 and 12 points clear of them. Doesn't look quite as exciting and looks less like a title challenge when the leaders pull away and the rest pass you or are a win away from passing you.

Time wasting from the 53rd minute by Villa.  Really do need to stamp that out, it's ridiculous.

The only effective way to do this is to have an independent official timekeeper who stops the clock on every appropriate occasion.

Take this responsibility out of the hands of the match official/referee.
