tom27111 Posted 15 February 2023 Share Posted 15 February 2023 The commentator keeps insisting its all in Arsenal's hands. I guess it is, but this result also means it's in Man City's now, more than ever, as they still face each other at the Etihad. The game in hand is irrelevant.

ian__marshall Posted 15 February 2023 Share Posted 15 February 2023 Wasn't overly concerned with the outcome of the Arsenal v Man City game but as a spectacle it was a great game to watch. End to end football played at a remarkable intensity. Technically there was some suspect defending but the game was highly entertaining.

Move a midfielder back there or play a youngster like almost every club including ourselves, Liverpool, Man Utd etc have had to do when a certain area of the team is hit by injury. Even if they did sign a free agent and somehow managed to get him registered, I just had a look at all the free agent CBs, the list is absolutely ****ing honking

I don't think my wife would like to hear it, but I agree (TBH, I get the feeling she's getting a little more disenchanted with the top clubs in the league every year...) It still amazes me that we stood the pressure in 2016. My nerves were in shreds but the team was like steel. I think the experience of winning the championship in 2014 and the great escape in 2015 were major factors.

Fair point but so much of our ability to sustain the title challenge through to the end was down to Ranieri’s calmness, humour and grace under pressure, which massively benefited the players and the spirit in the camp. Arteta possesses none of these qualities, which I believe will be Arsenal’s downfall.

Finn Claw II Posted 15 February 2023 Share Posted 15 February 2023 Arsenal tend to get the better of us but we are on the up and they are faltering so a perfect time to play them. i can still remember Ian Wright realising Steve Walsh isn’t someone you mouth off to. What a game that was
