I dunno if you were being sarcastic or not but I glanced at his twitter for 2 minutes. He's a Liverpool fan.

Quelle surprise.

No not sarcastic. I just don’t think he’s going it due to being salty. He does other voice overs too.

Meanwhile, Premier League referee Stuart Attwell should be relieved of his duties. He allowed Manchester United's Marcel Sabitzer to remain on the pitch after the worst tackle I have seen in years and without so much as a caution.

What made matters worse, Attwell then booked Leicester City's Nampalys Mendy, having made not one, but two, perfectly legitimate tackles. Of course it is the referee's opinion that ultimately matters, but if a top-class official cannot distinguish between a 'career-threatening tackle' and two perfectly legitimate challenges, then that referee has no business officiating in the top league in the world.

Top professional players deserve referees who know the difference between a good and a very bad tackle.

And he's 4th official at our game on Saturday lol

This is a referee that gave a goal when it went nowhere near the goal, and has since been promoted to a higher level whilst continuing to make errors week on week.

They are untouchable.

If that same tackle had been on a Man U player they would have been rolling around on the ground as if they had lost a leg, and 5-6 other players would be all over the ref wanting a red card. We on the other hand just get up from tackles and get on with the game.

We need to wise up and start making the most of tackles instead of letting teams push us around, every one of the so called big 6 are at it game after game after game and referees like Attwell are doing nothing about it.

Both Potter & Moyes have the backing of their respective boards, apparently.

They’ll both do well to stay in their jobs if they continue down the path they’re on.

Not sure the answer is to follow suit, the answer is for the PGMOL to wise up and follow through on what they say they will clamp down on during the preseason chats but never do.

Could also do with a rugby style citing board identifying cheats and such like.

Looks like it's Javia Gracia or Rafa for Leeds.  If they were sitting where Villa is I'd either stick with Skubula or maybe take a flier on Garcia, but where they are?  I'm no Rafa fan but he probably gives you a better chance to survive.  Sign him to an  18-month deal and then sack him after the season either way.  Passing on Schreuder to hire another manager who prefers a back 3 would be a very odd choice.

Moyes I think will be gone in the summer either if they stay up or go down. Potter maybe given another summer but if they suffer any more defeats then it could be tricky for him. Bielsa to Chelsea would be interesting.

Liverpool not being sold ?

Glazers potentially staying at Man U.

Smoke screen so they can get more money from a sale ?

Or genuine commitment on the part of FSG at Anfield .

The moment Man U hit the market, Liverpool FC looked like distressed goods.  Especially since they have driven their current squad past Klopp's ability to keep it producing.  The value of the asset peaked a year ago and has plummeted.

Interest rates are what they are ...  and it's already recognized that Boehly overpaid for Chelsea and is doing his best to lose his shirt ... FSG simply waited too long to float the club looking for peak valuation.

Their asking price required either an oil state, or a major billionaire willing to overpay to play FM.  But the only oil state in the market is preoccupied with the Glazers' merchandise.  And the billionaires are keeping their powder dry or looking for assets which offer value.

So ... "it really wasn't for sale."  It was, but the silence was deafening.

They need a sugar daddy investor - I think the only way they get one is with a guaranteed future sale value (why else would you do it)  but as you say, what is a reasonable value ??

FSG have already shown that they aren’t going to spunk money on the squad without sales - that won’t change and klopp has a tough job unless some of the kids turn out to be world beaters
