demented star jump.

It was more of a ballet leap, without tutu or elegance

EDIT   OK, not ballet and more of a hop than leap... but the rest was accurate

"Not at fault for either goal"

Unless you count this demented star jump...

Every goalkeeper is taught to do exactly that in that situation - you make yourself as big as possible to narrow the angle at close range.

What do you expect him to do there?

You mean the one where it's smashed at goal from a short distance and spinning away from him?

I'm certainly no fan of Ward but I don't blame him for that.

I not blaming him, I’m suggesting most Premier League keepers would have saved it.

Overall I thought he commanded his area better today and looked more confident.

He did well to get his hand to Billing’s first goal - ashame it wasn’t a stronger palm but it was a strong strike from close range. The defending before it got to him on both goals is more concerning. Let’s not scape goat him for today - he was far from one of the issues.

JJ, Evans and Faes were all more at fault - and when is Rodgers going to learn that Amartey isn’t good enough?!

Agreed with 90% of that. Amartey wasn't at fault for either goal today.

He reacts way too fvcking slow!! He should have been on top of that ball.

The whole thing about the goal was soft but this guy epitomises our softness.

Soft!!

Oh yeah, I’m not blaming Amartey specifically for the goals, but we just seem to be extremely nervous at the back when he’s on the pitch.

I can’t help but think that his lack of composure rubs off on those around him.

From what I’ve heard he’s a nice and honest bloke, just not a good enough player at this level.

Agree.

If I was nitpicking, he was oddly passive for that 3rd goal (disallowed) just let it drift across the box.

I said it pre match though, for him.to go, we either have to sack Rodgers or haemorrhage points. Both ways mean hemorrhaging points so the prognosis for the club is poor.

Unfortunately the biggest mistake we have made is feeling like we didn’t need to replace Kasper. A classic case of a businessman trying to make footballing decisions.

put him in a confident team doing well then the pressure is off and he has the time and space to grow into the role but put him into a doggo team with an awful defense in front of him then the pressure is immense and He’s stood no chance. Looks like a rabbit caught in headlights half the time
