For every 2 shots on target against us with Ward in goal we will concede 1. That's got to be up there with the worst shop stopping stats any keeper has had in the premier league for a very long time. He's not good enough to start at this level.

His stats are atrocious, genuinely think Smithies couldn't be much worse.

I defended him early games simply because he's always almost played well internationally. But, although having a shit defence in front of him as somewhat of a mitigation, he doesn't have the necessary presence. His confidence now looks shot and Iversen or Smithies even should be in goal.

I realise this sounds illogical and harsh, but I already thought he wasn't up to it even before seeing him play. I didn't need to see him sitting 5 or 6 a match to realise. He just doesn't look like an elite level performance sportsperson.

He’s been massively exposed by the honking defence, when ideally he could have been eased in better into being a number one had we had a couple of decent defenders.

I thought he'd earned a shot at it, given we weren't getting a replacement in. Is all too clear he's out of his depth and confidence is shot to bits. Iversen surely has to be the starter in the next game. He can't be any worse.
