What the National League record for points total?

Surely Wrexham / Notts County are quite close to it.

Not sure of the record, but Crawley had 105 points in the 2010/11 season.

The following season Fleetwood had 103. Oddly enough, Wrexham were second that season with 98, but lost out in the playoffs.

At this stage, it’s safe to say that both Notts County and Wrexham beat the wins, team goals and potentially points in a season stats.

Macaulay Longstaff only needs another 5 goals as well to get the most player goals.

It’ll be criminal if both don’t get promoted.

Very tricky game.  Good luck.

Yeah they're always tricky against these, we've had a few great games against Stourbridge through the years. Not a fan of them coming into this game on the back of a 5-1 either :D

Hopefully the boggy pitch didn't take too much out of the legs on Saturday

Sounds like they have new signing in the squad tonight

Been announced, Max Brogan on loan from Solihull.

We had him at Boro for two months, he's had more clubs than hot dinners this season. We brought him in from Barwell with high expectations, came in and can't say he set the world a light out of nowhere he joined Solihull... why not sure. Within days of signing for Solihull he was quickly loaned to Hednesford and then went somewhere else. Read into that if you will.

Sounds like Solihull have signed him as “ one for the future “ and want him to carry on with his development at this level for the time being. He’s still under contract there for next season.

Good win for Coalville. The penalty misses becoming a bit of a worry though but as long as the results keep coming that’s what matters. Anyone know how come they played on a Monday having just played Saturday?

Kings Langley, Stourbirdge and Redditch play their midweek games on Mondays. Can only assume it's out of choice so their attendances aren't affected by Tuesday night league games.

Barwell too, the reason they play on Mondays is when they installed 3G they essentially had to put the stadium under a charity trust to pay for it, and then leased out to Barwell and Hinckley. Part of that trust’s constitution is that it has to be used for the most local good it can. Tuesdays are the most favourable day for public use, so it supersedes mid-week games for Barwell and Hinckley.

Supposing those clubs have 3G pitches as well, I assume they make their money leasing out the pitch on a Tuesday and elect for Monday games.

The rationale for some is that player availability can be easier too supposedly. Hinckley moved their midweek games to Mondays back in Conf North.

Redditch is 3G but they’ve had Mondays for years. Stourbridge share with a cricket club (who generally never play on a Monday) - said cricket club also hosts Worcestershire seconds.

3-1 at half time after going down a goal early. We've also missed another pen, making it about 487 misses for the season :D

Let's see this second half out. If we can keep adding to that goal tally it'd be nice.

It was exceptionally wet, exceedingly muddy, but Coalville played with character and quality and deservedly won the game.

Another massive 3 points. 9 cup finals to go. Incredible support too for a Monday at Stourbridge in the pissing rain.

I think he's only like 19, so still young. strange though there constantly sending him out loan to various clubs. Still not sure what he would have gained by sending him on loan to Hednesford, who practically already relegated. Going there was never going to boost his confidence.

Rise of non league attendance on the up of late, signs perhaps of the cost of living take affect, fans unable to afford the premier league prices and giving the non league clubs a go, which are ten times cheaper. I mean come to the Boro or Coalville for example, you can enter the stadium for just a tenner, programme £2.50, burger £4, pint £3. So that's just over £20 spent in one day, while premier league prices its £40+ a ticket, programme £4, burger £6, Pint £5. Then adding on travel costs. So that's what possible nearly £100 spent one day. Quality of football may not be wonderful at non league level, but least you can say your not ripped off.

Not just cost but also attraction is up for non league and down for PL, in my own personal experience.

Coalville is full of young lads who can't even get tickets let along st at Leicester.

In the next 10 years Leicester will feel the pain of this lost generation IMO, and hopefully Coalville will be higher up and benefitting.

My fear is that the rumoured destruction of the blackout ends that attraction of going to your local team when folk can watch football down the pub.

If it happens, I think non league clubs will have to be more fluid with their scheduling - my brother in law's club sometimes move to Friday nights to avoid clashes with Norwich, crowds grow by about 30%.
