Starts For Amartey & Alves On Friday

Leicester City's international representation over the latest break continued on Friday as Foxes across senior and youth level were in action for their nations.

- Daniel Amartey played 90 minutes Ghana in their 3-0 loss to Brazil in Le Havre
- Will Alves makes his full debut for England Under-18s in their 2-1 win over Faroe Islands Under-18s 
- Zach Booth's United States Under-19s beat Croatia Under-19s 4-3 

In an international friendly against Brazil, defender Daniel Amartey started from the off, however Tite's men registered a convincing victory as Paris Saint-Germain's Marquinhos headed his nation in front at Stade Océane in Le Havre before a brace from Tottenham Hotspur's Richarlison meant Brazil led by three at half-time.

That's how it stayed in France, with the Black Stars next facing Nicaragua at Estadio Francisco Artés Carrasco in Spain on Tuesday 27 September (9pm kick-off). 

Earlier in the day, having made his first appearance for England Under-18s as a substitute in their late 1-0 win over Netherlands earlier this week, Will Alves was handed his full debut for the Young Lions against Faroe Islands Under-18s.

Southampton’s Dominic Ballard put England ahead early on, however Faroe Islands were soon on level terms at Pinatar Arena in Spain thanks to Áki Samuelsen’s equaliser.

After the break, though, Ballard struck again late on, this time from the penalty spot, to seal a 2-1 victory. Next up for Alves and England Under-18s is a clash with Belgium Under-18s on Monday (10:30am kick-off).

Finally, on Friday evening, Academy midfielder Zach Booth, who registered an assist against Malta Under-19s on Wednesday, saw United States Under-19s beat Croatia Under-19s 4-3 in a thrilling encounter. Booth could feature again next Tuesday when United States face Scotland (4pm kick-off). 

Further international representation for the Foxes is set to continue over the weekend, with coverage available on LCFC.com and the Club's social media channels.
