Danny Ward is on the bench for Wales vs Ukraine in their World Cup qualifier

What’s happened with Ward he’s not injured?

I don't believe he is injured - both the keepers played a half each of the last game, so I think the manager was trying to make his mind up over who to play today and looks like he has chosen Hennessey

Strange. I thought Ward had a much better half. Although I am going to be a bit biased.

Hennessey is a hundred cap veteran who's been with us through everything.

Ward barely gets a kick for his club.

He's put in a few alright performances for Wales and made a couple of important saves but it's not a massive shock that he's on the bench tonight.

Ward has played more club football than Hennessey in the last 3 seasons (even if you include the U23 games that Hennessey has played)

Again, Hennessey has over a hundred caps and has been our regular first choice for years.

If Ward was playing regular for Leicester and Hennessey wasn't starting then fair enough.

As it is :dunno:

Fair enough I just assumed he was your regular 1st choice keeper since he’s started  most games recently.

We don't accept his apology on his nazi salute that he didn't know was a thing. 😂

The "nazi" salute where he's got his hand under his nose making a moustache like a Basil Fawlty impression taking the piss out of a German colleague?
