I blame Brys for our 1st half performance to be honest. His gameplan was all wrong.

I understand that he wants us to play counter attacking football against teams like Club Brugge, Genk and Antwerp but why would you play like that against Zulte Waregem??? Zulte Waregem has both the worst offense and worst defense of the league. Against a team like that you take control of the game from kickoff and play attacking football. That is exactly what we did in the second half and we scored 5 times!

I totally agree. Luckily he's in shape enough to cover up his **** ups through his subs this season. Same thing with passing the ball around in the back at the start of season... it took a bit long to see it will never work without conceding stupid goals. He's a strange coach. Sometimes you get the feeling he knows exactly what he's doing, sometimes you get the feeling that your grandmother can make better tactical choices than him. I mean... you let Mercier go for Holzhauser in the system you're playing in at the moment? I'm sure he's earning a top salary as well and only comes off the bench every now and than. I can sum up a lot of things that state my opinion. But ok, we're in 5th position, we have no reason to complain. It's already better than last year. But I just like to see consistency and the feeling that OHL lives up to their potential, cause it's there.

is there an option to buy gonzalez? looks like a top player.

Also, maybe i missed this but when did you drop king power from the shirts? I remembered liking your kit in preseason but i swear the casino wasn’t on it at the time 🤔

They announced the new shirts on the day we played Leicester I believe.

20 million and El Pistolero is yours! :photo:

We have an option to buy Gonzalez for €2.750.000. In my opinion, I would pay that in an instant! It's a lot of money for a club like OHL, but he's worth every penny and I think we can sell him for profit as well.

Haha, I misunderstood his question. Yeah I'd say we should buy him right away as well. Didn't we buy Thamsatchanan for 1+ million? Than we can defo make an effort for Gonzalez too.

4-2 loss against 17th placed Eupen...

Brys just can't seem to get things right against teams like this. Time and time again we lose against the small teams because he refusus to let us play attacking football!

We need to be looking for a replacement if we really want to become a top team in Belgium!

BRYS OUT!!!

I wasn't able to watch the game, but my first reaction was exactly that. Brys seems to be a one tactic for all kind of manager... he's a stubborn bastard. Too bad though, it will cost us a lot of points. There goes the good feeling we had about our team at the start of the season.

Apparently nine players who had food poisoning and were unwell even on the way to Eupen, to put things into perspective. Also a few with viral symptoms.

Surely that's fair grounds to postpone the game if half the team are ill with food poisoning?

Sounds like a handy Brendan Rodgers style excuse to me :D

Think it's seen as regular injuries, unlikely to get a game postponed for that unfortunately. :(

What's with those long balls forward? How many of those were efficient? Pretty close to none. You have such a good striker, please give him the ball in the box. We have the team to control the game, why don't we play like it? Kiyine, Maertens, Keita, ... heck even Holzhauser are technically gifted enough to control midfield together with workers Malinov and De Norre around them. Use the flanks to put in crosses. Mendyl is a great wing back, put Tamari on that side so he actually has to put in a cross with his left foot. (that's the one thing i'd like to see him do before he can leave). Try the same on the right side with Thorsteinsson and maybe Vlietinck behind him.

Play with two central defenders instead of three... our team is not that weak that we need 5 defenders. And if it's to build up play, well that is defo not working. Put Patris on the bench and play with Pletinckx and Ricca in the back. And why not try Jackers in goal. Cojocaru is great on his line, but to play out of defence is not his thing, and he fails under pressure as well.

These are the changes I'd like to see, but it's wishful thinking. Brys is making a mess with his tactics and instructions if you ask me and it's clear for everyone to see. Both players and coach need to show that they want to win. And else I don't mind some of them getting the sack for OHL's sake.

You don't have the aerial presence in the box to play that type of wing game. Gonzalez is a great striker, but he scored 90% of his goals with his feet, not his head. And we've been playing with two central defenders for at least five or six games now. Patris is clearly playing as a full back. Pletinckx is injured, perforated ear drum two games ago.

I know, but he should have played like that from the start of the season. He put that team together himself and couldn't see what they're worth... I'm still baffled about why he got Holzhauser though. Maybe Holzhauser put something in his drink during that dinner. And there's no reason why a good pass to a pacey striker like Gonzalez won't cause any trouble for the opponent's defence. Gonzalez knows how to find the space.
