No pressure then on a player who hasn’t actually played well for ages despite looking to be our most potent outlet !

It’s not just that. Vardy is much better when Barnes plays. It gives the whole team a lift, the fans a lift as well.

Someone who travels with the ball and gets us higher up the pitch, we’ve massively missed this in the first two games this season.

I didn’t see the point of giving Ricardo a long contract when we did due to injuries and still don’t now. Yes he is a great player but he is injured most of the time. A very strange decision. Should have given him a one year contract with his injury record.

You love to see it

Barnes?

“Harvey Barnes is back in training so that’s really good for us. He’s looked excellent, he’s looked fit. He had a really good pre-season. He should be available.”

But I thought he'd be out for months and months

I reckon there'd be missles thrown at Rodgers if Barnes comes off with a knee injury after 35 mins.

Injuries?

“We’ve got an issue around James Maddison but we’ll see how that is tomorrow. That would be the only doubt at the moment. He just felt a twinge when he was training yesterday.”

Surprised that any of the players involved tues night were training intensely enough to feel any twinges .....

Injuries?

“Dennis Praet has been out for a few days but should come back into training tomorrow. He’s had an ongoing issue with his foot. He’s tried to play through it. We’ve allowed that to recover. He was on the pitches with our conditioning team. Everyone else is fine.”

Wilf has come back to England from International Duty due to injury

Leicester City midfielder Wilfred Ndidi is no longer in contention to play his first game under Nigeria manager Jose Peseiro.

The Nigeria Football Federation brought bad news from Algeria this morning, stating that Ndidi is injured and out of the game against Algeria.

Ndidi has left the Nigeria camp and returned to England for a proper medical check-up ahead of Leicester City's first game after the international break against Nottingham Forest.
