Just for lols I wonder if this will be asked about in the press conference.

All I want is a name, it doesn't even matter if it's not happening. I just want him to name this set piece specialist that we were apparently bringing in about 2 months ago.

Rodgers probably fabricated it all

It’s irrelevant

defending set plays is now our sefensive strength

we’re now completely sh1te when it comes to open play

Disagree on it being irrelevant, it's something that's been repeatedly said is happening, yet there's been no acknowledgement of it.

Only questioning things after they've turned sour is how we've found ourselves in this position.

Also, when will they acknowledge the need for an open play specialist coach? :D

It is fascinating, its the one topic there's genuine accusations of lying from Brendan when he was questioned last year. This recent mystery on the same issue further compounds that.

Yay, we're saved...

No pressure mate. Shouldn't normal coaches be able to coach set pieces, not sure what a specialist can offer.

Midtjylland basically won the league on the back of his set pieces

Actually it was Brian Priske https://statsbomb.com/articles/soccer/i-think-we-broke-denmark/

Something tells me this isn't a Rodgers appointment. His responses to questions about the new guy could not be less enthusiastic if he tried lol

If the manager doesn't buy into him then we'll have the same issues. Arsenal's former set piece coach credits Arteta for completely changing the culture (time and focus) with their set pieces.

It lots of ways Rodgers is quite an old fashioned manager, he wants to control as much as he can at club -  when he's at his most destructive.

Probably because by hiring him it constitutes a failure by himself and his own coaches. At least he'll have someone else to blame when we continue conceding from corners.
