Mobile - NFT Ticketing is SHIT

Several people in front of us on Monday night couldn't get their code to scan. Now, they all had a QR code, so can't be sure if it was because they'd got the tickets from elsewhere rather than purchased themselves. All were told they had to go to the ticket office. That obviously caused a back up in the queue - outside SK4.

Im sure it’s the same story all around the stadium, I’m in A1 in the West the shortest wait to get in this season has been 20 mins

Great work by the supporters groups here. 90% of fans sticking with cards showing digital tickets are not wanted.

So these queues are a consequence of only 10% of fans having a digital ticket?

I’ve been in A1 twice recently (Man U and Forest) and haven’t waited longer than a minute. I arrive about 45 mins before KO though.

Also in A1, queue always stretches to the club shop but clears in around 5 mins. I get there 10-15 mins before ko and always inside by ko, other than the Brentford game. It’s usually people putting their cards inside the scanner causing any delays. You’d think by now people would’ve realised what to do

Ahead of Saturday's fixture vs. Manchester City in the Premier League (12:30pm kick-off), we write to advise 2022/23 Season Ticket Holders that mobile passes for the following home fixture vs. Newcastle United will be distributed three hoursafter kick-off (3:30pm).

The above applies to all remaining home Premier League games in that your next pass will be distributed three hours after the preceding fixture has kicked off.

The Club is aware of an issue on some Apple devices in which passes are appearing in the 'expired' section in the Apple Wallet. We remind supporters that for each game, a push update will be sent to all Season Ticket Holders' devices 48 hours prior to kick-off (providing there is network connectivity), which will allow access to an 'expired' pass.

If the correct game is not appearing 48 hours prior to kick-off, please refer to the steps below to manually update your pass...

APPLE USERS

If you cannot see your pass, please open the Wallet App on your phone but do not use the shortcut to bring up your pass. Instead, scroll down to "view expired pass", click on "unhide" and follow the instructions below:

Click on the three dots

Ensure the "automatic updates" toggle is green, then press and hold the miniature pass and drag the screen down

Wait a moment for the pass to say “updated just now”

Once the spinning wheel has disappeared, click on the back arrow in the top left-hand corner to return to the main pass

This should now show the next fixture.

If you have recently updated your phone and your pass has been removed, scroll down and click “edit passes” to unhide the pass.

ANDROID USERS

Update Google Wallet to the latest version from the App Store

Check you do not have multiple tickets attached to your pass - you can do so by clicking on the pass and swiping right on the last fixture

If neither of the above steps work, we recommend you power your device on and off again

Supporters on android devices will need to ensure the email address on both their Google Wallet and Google Account on their device match.

It couldn't be simpler.

I can't imagine any season ticket holder having a problem following those instructions and ensuring their digital wallet is refreshed and updated with all of their match passes!

I don't know. They sent me paper tickets for the League Cup match as the default option! The NFT has been enough of a clusterf--k that even the club seems to have noticed.

Unless the club do a complete U-turn it will be digital only next season.

UFS and Foxestrust trying to do something about it but they seem pretty hell bent on doing it.

I just don’t understand why they’re so hell bent on pushing this through, fine have it has an option for those that want it, there will be plenty that do, but retain the option of cards for those that want them. What’s the harm. Eventually as time passes I’m sure more and more will go for mobile tickets and then eventually the cards can be discontinued, but by insisting on it right now, especially as the technology is still a problem for many, they are creating trouble for themselves and distress and anger from long standing supporters when there is no need.

Precisely the sentiment I recorded in my feedback thing the other week. It's a great idea, if it's not compulsory.

They may stop this crusade when they figure out it’s so much easier to share tickets via mobile ticketing. There’s no need to sign up for a membership if you fancy going to the odd game, ask around your family/friends/colleagues/Twitter etc and securely receive a ticket without meeting in person. They have created a de facto general sale

It was pointed out to them this by a supporters group that sharing tickets was very much still possible. The reaction to this was some degree of surprise.

Because the club are convinced that ticket touting for over face value is a huge problem at our club.

Hence setting up the resale platform and now pushing for digital tickets. Again comes from the out of touch ticketing suits that have come in from PSG, Spurs etc.
