Injuries?

The players have trained well this week. Wilf felt something in his groin, Maddison was not able to train with us today and Vardy was sidelined with a slight leg break. We will be without them for the weekend.

Five Substitutes?

It’s a great rule change. It will allow managers to change games, bring fresh mentality and physicality. I felt on the weekend that the boys had trained in the heat all summer, so were ready for 90 minutes in it. They were tired.

For real? It never stops...

Wouldn't surprise me to see the midfield diamond return for this one;

Ward

Castagne Fofana Evans Justin

Ndidi

Tielemans KDH

Maddison

Daka/Iheanacho Vardy

Wouldn't usually predict Daka Vardy up top, but after the weekend who knows. If we had a competent RW we could exploit the space left by Zinchenko on that side

Brendan Rodgers Pre-Match Press Conference vs Arsenal

Injuries?

“There’s nothing new.”

Fofana?

“It can affect the whole group if you don’t manage it. You have to keep your eye on the ball. But everyone is focused on doing their best in games for Leicester City. For Wesley himself, communicate openly with him."

Gut feeling on whether Fofana stays or goes?

“I don’t think about it.”

Incoming transfers?

“It’s going to be one where the club need to move players on. There are no guarantees for us at this stage. If anything happens, the club will let me know. If something happens later down the line, then we’ll go from there.”

Arsenal?

“Arsenal have gone to a new level with the three players who have come into the team. Saliba is a talented player, he’s gone away and got really good experience and you see him, he’s quick, he can dominate. He’s a fantastic addition and gives them presence at the back. The two guys coming in from Man City have made a difference. They’re coming from a world-class environment. Jesus is a world-class striker. You see his hunger and desire. It will elevate other players. Zinchenko can play in a couple of positions to the very highest level. They have given the squad the confidence and has given Mikel the tools to play how he really wants to play.”

Choudhury?

“Hamza is going to a fantastic club with a good manager. I’m sure he’ll do really well. He’s been a valuable member of his squad, but for him to progress he needs to play more. With one game a week here, he wasn’t going to get game-time. His attitude in training has been first class. They have great supporters who will support him while he’s there.”

Barnes?

“Nothing specific. He’s been with the medical team, so we don’t have a specific time."

Fofana stay for a year?

“Another year for him at least would be really important for his development. Wesley is quite calm on the situation. He is aware of the interest. He’s just getting on with his work.”

Bids for Fofana?

“There was two, but nowhere near what the club would consider. We’re not looking to sell. Naturally if there’s interest from other clubs, that is looked at by the club. He’s a top young defender and there are not too many around his age.”

Vice captain?

“Yeah, we’ve discussed that. It’s still in the process. It’s with the players and with the staff. Getting a new leader of the team was important. We have some fantastic senior professionals like Marc and Jamie. Within in a couple of days we will have that organised.”

Set-piece coach?

“We’ve been given confirmation that the appeal to the FA was successful, so now we have to wait for the documentation to go through.”

Arsenal style documentary at Leicester?

“Definitely not.”

Thank fvck for that.

Would quite like us to do one ourselves, maybe a little series on LCFC TV that shows a different element of the training facility each week/behind the scenes at the ground.

Clubs should be starting to own this sort of content and adding sponsorship elements/thai adverts to help fund/raise some extra income.

                                                                          Ward

                                       TC            WF                                    JE                JJ

                                                                            WN

                                                                YT                      KDH

                                                    DP                                              JM

                                                                              JV

Dominate that midfield!!  Essentially drop Wilf into  a back 3 when we have the ball and use our fb's for width. I think theres absolutely no chance we see DP but its what I would go for given the availability.

Im also not opposed to a 41311

                                                                             WN

                                                                             JM

                                                                             JV

Basically arsenals midfield is still their weak spot. We can exploit that and make life hard for them.
