Would have been the salmon before the change of landlord, I’ll still go in but not as much. As for Kings Head, it was good but the clientele after games is quite mixed now and leads to a bad atmosphere. Hence the trouble after the Villa game last season.

Salmon really changed so much in the short time Alex has gone?

Yeah The Kings Head thing is strange. Older BS chaps using it as their pub of choice recently.

It’s not just Alex who has left, but one of the other key bar staff has moved on. I’ll still support the new gaffer, but the salmon under Alex was peak pub and for a while it was the best in Leicester.

BCA have looked at the old Swan and Rushes site from time to time, that would be the dream.

If I stop for a pint, it is usually New Road Inn or The Donkey, but that is only evening games, when I am without the children. I look at the list, and think no one actually comes up the Welford Road for games!

Before the pandemic, I would sometimes take the kids for lunch at Two Steeples and let them have a run around at the Wacky Warehouse, and then just hop on the 49 to get to the game. But they are now a bit too old for that.

We flit between them all at different times.

I used to love The Tav and the 2/3 cards 🤣

Started using the Bowling Green last season which is alright but a bit busy

Quite like Hogarths opposite the Tav, getting on the cocktails on an all day sesh

F Bar used to be decent 10 years ago

Symphony Rooms is OK

Most recently used to go Swan and Rushes until it shut which is a crying shame I think. Convenient too as we usually park at that Chinese Supermarket with the guy who’s got about two teeth all in

Was so frustrating walking past the Parcel Yard on Sunday and seeing it closed. I get that they've been screwed over but they've just given up now.

Didn’t realise this.

We used to go there from work, pre evening kick offs, but post covid we just couldn’t get anything to eat ‘Chef finished at three’ etc So just started going to Shimla Pinks for a curry and a pint.

I go with my elderly Dad still and the Globe is nice. Pretty relaxed and decent beer. Probably wouldn't frequent it that much if I lived in Leicester though. Used to really like the Peel but can be a bit squished on match day and the often-mentioned Scottish landlady (who I believe has moved on) put me off.

Looked to still have someone on the door post match on Sunday who appeared to still be counting folk in. Did however look to be doing it in an easier manner.

What's your thoughts on the Horse opposite? In the summer that rooftop is worth it

Terrace is great but the staff/landlord always seem a bit put out by having to actually serve you a beer. It'd have great a potential if a more adventurous brewery took it on.
