LCFC 2-4 Arsenal Post Match Thread

Recommended Posts

Not surprised we lost, we always do to them, but the score line could've been embarrassing, Brentford look on paper one of the weakest attacks but managed 2, now 4...very worrying.

Having said that we conceded more goals last season than Burnley, yet we finished 8th, we were the leagues 5th highest scorers, we're going have to do something similar this year to get anywhere near 8th.

We were never going to take away points off this lot.

We were stronger at both ends after taking Amartey off and moving to the back four.  If Rodgers takes that forward v Southampton, we will win and that can turn our season around.

And if little Wes goes to Chelsea, he’ll be just another stash player.  Physically and skills-wise he can dominate at this level, but mentally he’s not close to ready.  He’s better off starting here than trying to learn from Tuchel’s bench.

Before the majority slag off the GK as an easy focal point of criticism.

Arsenal had nearly 20 shots,

he made some good saves.

Fofana was standing in front of him, it was poor communication between them both.

Players make mistakes, will vardys header across his own goal that was an assist for Jesus gain as much attention?

If Ward doesn’t settle, Iversen comes in.

(It's going to be a long season)

But, Looking on the bright side

I was expecting to concede 5 today, so we defended better than I expected

We made subs – yes plural

Southampton are the only other team to concede 6 in the first 2 matches, thank God we don’t have their Head of Recruitment

We are 1 game closer to the end of BR's reign

Shows how far rodgers has dragged us down, pathetic. Finished above these 2 years ago.
