LCFC vs Southampton - Pre-Match Thread

And how can we do that when the board are writing a whole season off and seemingly one of our best players wants out?

To compete and push to the next level the club absolutely cannot do what it has done this season, whether people like to admit it or not we are going to be spending the next few years in a bit of a wilderness whilst we rebuild. The club could have got a head start on that but depending on who you believe we are either skint or not skint but not spending money.

West Ham have spent over 300m over the last three season (net spend), and are struggling to break into the top 6.

We are a similar size and history, have always had a rough parity with them in terms of league position and size. That they are investing that much to be at that level shows what is needed. We can only go backwards this season if we don’t keep improving and refreshing the squad.

LCFC sent an email out this week saying ‘end of an era’ - something to do with some new clothing they were trying to flog. However it does feel as though we are getting to the end of the recent amazing era of success.

4-4-2

                   Ward

    Castange Evans Soy Justin

Albrighton KDH Maddison Barnes

                Nacho

                    Vardy

Rodgers wouldn't have the balls to play this team but it would guarentee points and goals and clean sheets.

The midfield is too weak atm and players like Nididi and Youri need dropping, and the 3 atb system needs binning we don't have the players for it.

So you're saying this team and formation would win the league, fa cup, league cup and the champions league next season?

That's a grand claim.

Where did I say that?

Will certainly be better than what we churn out at the minute.

God help us if he plays a back 5

Mate of mine is a saints fan and is saying they’ll play a 5 too. Can see us passing around without penetration for 60 mins and getting done on the counter by a Theo Walcott goal.

Precedes to pick a team with Maddison and KDH as a double pivot lol

I think it would work although having thought about it more you could bring Nididi in and move Madssion for Nacho and have Maddison as a 10 so 4-4-1-1 still would be a lot more effective

Castange Evans Soy Justin

Albrighton KDH Nididi Barnes

                   Maddison

                      Vardy
