New Manager? Who do you Want?

Recommended Posts

Sampaoli,Sampaoli and Sampaoli.

We need to get rid of this toxic mood, rise from our deadbed.

In order to do that, we need a fiery, passionate and an exciting coach.

He is the man.

He's got the capacity the resurrect the team and the fans.

Tedesco may well be sacked from Leipzig, with Rose taking his place. So he could be a candidate for us. Rose himself is also one if the board could get it done fast enough (so that's a no then!).

Given our financial situation it's hard to see past Dyche. I would expect him to be given a Moyes style shorter term contract to see what he can do. I'm far from his biggest fan, but getting Burnley into Europe means he deserves a better opportunity somewhere else. He's more qualified for example than Lampard and Gerrard who got much better jobs. Yes it all went sour in the end, but that's pretty much what's going on here too. In fact throughout football history there are few managers that don't leave without getting sacked. Even Arsene Wenger left in a bad way despite the legendary job he did for Arsenal. MON was the last time a manager left in a positive way for us, and that's because he switched jobs!

Iain Dowie has been available since 2010.  He'd have to get a lift to training though, he's currently serving a ban for drink driving.

Career suicide when Palace agreed to let him go to be closer to his family only for him to move to premier league Charlton and mess things up there.

Sampaoli would come with a health warning, talented but erratic. We'd probably batter Liverpool 4-1 at Anfield one week then get beat 6-0 by Bournemouth at home the next.

Sarina Wiegman

If necessary do a temporary appointment till after the women's world cup.

An excellent job for England women's team but way, way too much of a risk.

So for those like myself 50/50 on someone like Dyche. What would you think with regards to a contract until the end of the season?

The more I think about it, it’s a win win situation for both sides. Dyche comes in, if he picks us back up could secure himself a long term job with us (a team that he’s stated multiple times to be “flattered of our interest”). If he doesn’t get a job with us, his stock has risen even further and may be able to showcase that he’s not just route 1.

For us we get someone that will sort this mess out quickly, potentially see that Dyche doesn’t just play that style of football he and Burnley were known for and potentially secure our long term manager. Worse case for us, we stay up and don’t fancy Dyche then target the likes of Graham Potter or Thomas Frank in the summer?

I'm with you. Make contact with Rose, see what he has to say and be honest about the budget/situation, as well as players likely to leave come summer.

However, also have Dyche has a valid option. I've never really wanted Dyche here, but there just seems to be method in the madness when I think about our current situation and what our squad needs and what the short-term requires for us to stay clear of trouble, whilst also managing the finances.

Why did he leave Marseille?

He left Marseille because he wasn’t being backed in the transfer market, as much as I’d like to see him here, our current situation won’t attract him in the slightest

With Marco Rose there was all ways a feeling that their current manager Terzic who was the caretaker before Marco Rose actually started job, should have been the manager as he did a a good job. But they had already paid 5m for Rose.....so they had to give him the job

Think the board and Terzic behind the scenes weren't very supportive of Rose as they sold their rising talents.

Alot here want Marco Rose  so maybe they see that he did better at his previous clubs.

Anyway he really was very good with the astonishing success of Payson Daka and and always had love for his his players that maybe what's lacking here at the moment

Thing is next summer is such an exciting prospect if we can stay up.

Bring in 7-8 of your own guys and train them in a 100m pound training ground

Rose's Dortmund conceded far too many to bring him in a situation where we're already conceding 2 a game

Aside from Dortmund his teams defended relatively well. I know Salzburg dominated in Austria but he averaged less than a goal a game. Also an ex defender so have no doubt he will improve us defensively.

I genuinely have just seen Neil Warnock in Cardiff. Had shorts on and was on the phone. Couldn't quite see all the number, but it started 0116....

But was it incoming or outgoing? :D

We don't need a relegation specialist or someone to come in an instill diiscipline. We need someone to come in and put an arm around the squad and believe in them. There's so much quality Available, it's still realistic to be looking at 50+ points, even with this start.

We don't need a relegation specialist? How about a Championship specialist!
