Strange how when we won the league, All neutral fans seemed happy for us, "second favourite team" and all that nonsense.

Now it's can't wait to get those feckers back where they belong.

Chances are they're not the same people commenting.

What's worse about this year, is that there are definitely three worse teams than us in this league but we have the least fight and personality to stay in the league. Look at Leeds yesterday - if they stay up and we go down it'll be a travesty!!

All the messages from players saying we'll keep fighting, stay with us etc

Start showing some of that on the pitch

We should be throwing the kitchen sink to win games. Yet the opposition goalkeepers barely have to make a save

You finish where you deserve to in this league so no complaints really the sad thing is if we had sacked him when we had 6 straight losses we wouldn’t be in this position. It looks like we’ve not even tried to stay up. Embarrassing.

Said thing is we have taken 8 points since the W/C 2nd worse is Southampton with 11 points.

Even if we'd have match them we would have been in a much better position.

So strange after the Villa and Spurs game we looked like heading for mid table.

Then Rodgers got scared facing Man Utd, Arsenal and Chelsea.

Complacency on the part of players? Half of who see themselves gone in the summer.

Yeah - Vichai was ruthless. He didn't hesitate to fire Ranieri at the slightest chance of relegation. Sadly, Top's been too indecisive and it's cost us dearly.

He also gave Shakespeare too long when it was clear he wasn’t good enough, wasting the following season.

End of last season, I really thought going down would be either Wolves, Everton, Bournemouth, crystal palace or forest

These teams have average squads. Then the summer happened where months went by and we didn't buy a single player. Even though we knew Vardy was no longer our top scorer

I think alot of us knew then, we were gonna be near the relegation spots

Only people in our club who seemed to believe otherwise is our board

Average squads with backing more than a few above decent performances

middle of the table 15-9th always was always has been..

Average squad 20-16th with maybe 3-4 decent performances,+ a couple of suprise

turnarounds…always was always has been…

Clubs with the biggest fighting spirit,or EOS shithousery just stay up..

A.W.A.H.B..

Everton*/Wolves/Palace/Soton*Leeds*…..average to pathetic season

Bournemouth*/Forest* happy to have any season above 17th,job done

Leicester*…anything below 12th ,no entitled projection, catastrophic..even with no summer signings…+3 new additions in January.

* Relegation to be decided, but for any decent squad who ‘wants it’,  8 games

is a large chunk from  the season.

Could mean difference from Chelsea’s position upwards small Europe/Europe/title.

Its all conjecture,we at Leicester believe already the peg has been driven through

our soul,no fight no chance!!    But where there is hope + shithousery in sport…:trumpet:

I know he's all our favourite scapegoat, but we couldn't capitalise on that mini run v Villa and Spurs and onwards to mid table thanks to Ward.

(In fact, Ward very nearly threw the villa game away too, rescued by an offside flag)

Man U we had a bit of swagger and Ward was unable to bail us out in the way De Gea had done at the other end. It was the Chelsea game that really did it tho.

The lump didn't notice Chilwell lining up a tame shot when everyone else in the stadium did. Then, after the team deservedly got themselves back into it to cover up his gaffe, he struck again with an 'after you, Claude' routine just before half time, instead of wiping the opponent out.

I'll never get over it. Never. Absolute sabotage from Rodgers to play this man.

The Blackburn game in the cup was a real eye-opener. The championship is going to be horrible, there's some very good players down there. My fear is that the current squad, with a distinct lack of leadership and any semblance of fight, will struggle massively in the Championship.

I'd expect us to be closer to the bottom than the top

You can write the Man City game off, but the next four - Wolves, Leeds, Everton, Fulham are massive. They will make or break your chances.

We said that about Palace, Villa and Bournemouth! We are giving ourselves no wriggle room, not over till it’s over but we have stank the league out this season bar a few decent wins , seems a long time since we won 4-0 at your place.

Difference is you'll have a new manager in by the time those four games roll around. That has to give you a bit of hope.

Realistically the games we should be targeting to get maximum points.

But one game at a time! Starting with damage limitation at Man City lol

The problem we've got is that all of this is a really fine balancing act for our players.  Continue playing really really shit until the end of the season and their won't be many suitors for their services when we are relegated.  But play too well and we might stay up which means a lot of them won't get sold and most of them want out.  It's a proper tightrope for them.

But it was also an eye-opener how you can build a squad effectively - that Blackburn team had no major names but played like a real team.

The majority of this squad won't be involved in the Championship.

I’d happily take a loss at Man City, barring a freak result and come away with something positive about how we play, than get an absolute battering which will only worsen our already shattered confidence.
