Those passing stats are awful, only 3rd.

Reckon we'll see about 300 passes between Amartey and Evans against Brighton.

If we went down, which players would leave or would be bought by another Premier League - Justin, Ricardo, Ndidi, Tielemans, Castange, Barnes, Iheanacho. Given that Youri is leaving on a free, the others would probably raise a total of around £120m. Future shopping will be in Primark

Passes 3rd….Rodgers will be delighted with this successful start to the season!

Getting worried that the longer it goes on without a win, the more pressure there is to get that first one.

Brighton will be tough.

Villa perhaps tougher given such pressure.

Sadly the stupid repeated story of no purchases in the window in the close season and throwing 2 goals away against Brentford has set the agenda, and nobody is big or clever enough in the club currently to break this.

Its their job to find a way AND Brentford, not beating a poor Soton side after taking the lead and AT LEAST getting a point at the Bridge against 10 men on Sat would mean top half at this point.

The last 30 mins last night is because of everything that's happened before.  1st half was ok against a reasonable side aside from shocking goal.

This team has ZERO confidence and passion, and Brendan is continually alienating them.

Last night we had nobody shouting, driving us on on the pitch (we don't often of late) - whats Jonny offering as a leader verbally to drive that team on the pitch??  Brendan has to cut his cloth accordngly and its time to get severely animated on the sideline (if he stays).

Look at Trent egging the Liverpool fans on Weds night, Harvey Elliot RUNNING to make a throw in in injury time & again egging the fans on.

CMON LESTAH, lets get passionate, what's left now the window is over has to get us out of this mess!!

We won’t be relegated, the team is too good for that. Just out of form right now but eventually something will land for us and confidence will rise again.

Which 3 sides are worse than us, who goes down ?
Just curious.

I would say its a straight scrap between us, Villa, Bournemouth, Forest, Fulham and Brentford. You would like to think our squad is stronger than them all but our manager is a massive massive problem.

Are there seriously people that think we're NOT in a relegation battle?

The way it’s going we won’t even be on a relegation battle , just a tepid relegation, feels a bit Sheffield United, everyone thinks they would buck their ideas up but never did and never got close enough to make a battle of it. On paper we are a lot better than Sheffield United, the only way we can probably show that is with a change of manager but perhaps too many people are on a downer to snap out of it.

That’s exactly how we go down !

This squad has enough to compete and win games but don’t underestimate organisation, fitness, passion and motivation - none of these are in existence and take time to build with a credibility !!

We have played Arsenal, Chelsea and United and lost those games. Southampton and Brentford were frustrating but ahead both games and just need to learn how to hold out and take more chances.

Next 5:

Brighton (A)

Villa (H)

Tottenham (A)

Forest (H)

Bournemouth (A)

If we don’t win at least 2 of them then we are in serious, serious trouble

Minimum 7 points required , but need to be targeting at least 9. Can see a loss at Spurs and possibly Brighton but must beat the other 3.

On average we have shots the furthest from goal and we concede shots closest to goal in the whole league lol

We're comically bad, it's not 'form' or a bad run - we're just shit. It's disastrous management.

The biggest factor that plays into our favour is the world cup imo. The break it provides will essentially create two mini seasons and that'll be massive for us. We can go away during the world cup, most of the squad won't be playing internationally so should be able to get a camp together to hammer out the issues and kick on from January. The quality in the players is undoubtedly there, it's about us playing in a manner to utilise that quality.

FWIW, I think we'll pull away from relegation before December anyway
