Relegation

Recommended Posts

If we don't go this season it'll be next.

I simply cannot foresee a scenario of Rodgers being in post at Premier League Leicester City by the end of next season.

And that's about as positive as you'll get from me for the foreseeable.

Not being funny, mate, but you can't have watched a lot of football this season.

I agree that we're in massive trouble and in very real danger of going down, but some other sides have been woeful.

Southampton losing a 1-0 lead at home to 10 man Wolves, just for starters.

We're fvcking awful, but we are nowhere near the statement you've made.

It doesn't get much worse to be fair, Arsenal and Blackburn both at home losing in the manner we have is an all time low, not to be understated.

And that will be the case for us too, we are likely to be bang in the relegation pack right to the very end unless we show a marked upturn in average points per game.

Don't worry, our squad has a habit of keeping it's head when it comes to the business end of the season :scarf:

We would not bounce back up. We would probably cycle through another 3-4 managers, and possibly a new owner, until we found the formula to get back.

Relegation will be the end of an era, and we might not see the like of the last 7-8 years again.

The era has well and truly gone mate. The moment we started accepting the crap he spouted about us punching above our weight and celebrating the collapses from the top 4 we were dead

We go behind and you know that we won’t be able to turn it round . When was the last time we succeeded in making a change in formation or personnel to win from a losing situation ? That is on the manager , only Potter at Chelsea looks as supine as BR when the team are playing poorly or  when a change is required to counter an opposition player or match up to the oppo’s formation

Nah, we aren’t coming back up if we go down.

Clear as day. We go down and we’ve got serious issues, the type of which takes years to sort out. The borrowing of future TV money stinks of Ridsdale and Leeds.

Our era of success is over and the direction of travel seems set, but we absolutely don't need to be relegated. I can't subscribe to that. Relegation could easily be a disaster from which we don't recover for years.

We need a couple of things, a good window like Crystal Palace had a year ago when it looked like their squad would get decimated, and to get lucky with the next managerial appointment. It will be incredibly difficult for us though given we will be losing genuine quality in Maddison and Tielemans, quality which is incredibly difficult to replace like for like.

Couldn't agree more. Relegation would absolutely not be a good thing.

Were the Villa and Spurs games another false dawn? Clearly Rodgers is going nowhere so Madders is our only hope for survival. If he gets injured this clown will take us down. He may not be the worst manager we've ever had, as we've certainly had a few duds since I first started supporting City in the early 60s, but I've never despised any of them as much as I do this charlatan! He is sucking the life out of our club!

Sorry, but that era has already ended.  We have already started the new era and there is nothing similar from the golden era and now apart from we share the same name in Leicester City.

This will end badly and Its not the players fault now, it's not Rodgers fault, it's Tops.

Maybe an epoc then, rather than an era. Next season we could be back in the Championship, with no hope of promotion, everyone involved in our title win having left the club, and the club for sale. Every penny and drop of success would have been burned through and washed away, our PL reputation dissolved, and we would be starting from scratch.

Maybe in the long run that could be beneficial. Nobody at the club seems to understand the gravitas of the situation we're in
