TRANSFER DEADLINE DAY 2022

Success or failure, the responsibility is on the owner. If he employed persons to handle affairs he removes said people if they fail and re appoints. Its not one season.

Which is right, but then scratch the surface. Take recruitment, how many heads of recruitment have come and gone, technical scouts, european scouts, who’ve moved on and been replaced.

It’s not a quick process to track the success of the chain of people and know whether it’s working. Things like that can be like turning an oil tanker,

So Brendan ended up with £12m from the £70m we got from Fofana.

Can't stand the bloke & his ego and every time I hear his post match comments a part of me dies inside, but you can't fully blame him if we are shit for the rest of the season.

The squad has been stagnant for a while and if the board aren't prepared to spend any money then this mess is on them as well.

One thing that will be absolutely ridiculous is if Boga was our only option.

Out of every player that could have been available on loan today, from squad players to youngsters if Boga was our only iron in the fire and we didn't know if Atalanta would accept a deal or if he'd come here? That's seriously poor forward planning.

Seriously poor forward planning has been the way of our recruitment operation for a while now.

Still, at least we all have the light show to look forward to

Seriously think we always intend to have a negative net spend given Tops programme notes.

Seriously are people questioning the owners! They have set up a structure that has given us years of success we have one transfer window where we don't spend much and people are having a go at them.

Clubs go through ups and downs that is inevitable no matter how well run they are. The big question is how the owners react to the down times and make changes to fix it. Changes don't happen immediately and don't have an immediate effect. If next year and the year after we are still in a bad position then questions might be valid but at the moment you have to give them time to react to the problem and fix it as I'm sure they will.

That's fine but then why even bother with him? Wasted the entire last day by the sound of things trying to negotiate a loan without any idea if the player wants to come. It comes across as panicked and incredibly naive, despite Rodgers saying "we've had targets for x amount of time"
