Yes i can understand that . But apart from lottery winners all multi-millionaires are guilty of having little or no ethics. so our owners are no different from any other club owner.

Total nonsense.

And those who have inherited their wealth?

I've never met a nice South African or a nice millionaire. to accumulate that kind of money while other fellow human beings need lots of financial help is amoral. A bit like an employee of the BBC who is paid millions from license money while pensioners over eighty are now forced to pay the extortionist license or get prosecuted. nice world ain't it.

socialism is uglier than capitalism imo, generally they don't truly care about the poor and disadvantaged, they're just envious of the wealthy, even if fairly attained. I know you'll read this and think "that's not me", but  look hard in the mirror, are you genuinely virtuous or do you like the appearance of virtue without doing the work necessary to truly warrant it?

Piper is completely wrong to say Top is exempt from criticism. He’s the reason we’re in this mess and fans are turning against the club because he won’t do what we all can see.

Piper’s probably worried about losing press credentials or something.

So much wrong with this. The only way our club retains any value is by staying in the premier league - no board would want to relegate a team and then think, oh now would be a good time to flog it. You buy a business based on earnings and multiples - it's not a case of round up the assets and put a price tag on it. It would be very attractive to inestors if we did drop down because they could get it on the cheap!

.....their investment was £27m, which is now become £450m, there is a stream of cartels and big-money owners out there, who would love the chance to own a premier League team!!!

They won't care about picking us up on the cheap, it will be cheap at twice the price, we come with a history that will never be compared.

Come on mate your last two posts are utter drivel. I normally like your posts but you've had a mare with these two. Plenty of millionaires are nice and have great morals. Your logic of making 'that kind of money' when others need financial help being immoral is nonsense. It's the way of life, plenty of the millionaires taxes go towards those less fortunate or those who need benefits.

South africans on the other hand!  Seriously though, his statement just shows he has met few South Africans and even fewer Millionaires.

Any news of Top “jetting in” ahead of the weekend to assess crowd reaction?

The slow realisation that everything rested on the crowd reaction vs Forest as one huge emotional dilemma for the fanbase and we went and saved Brendan another year here and ruined the future of our football club.

What is the likelihood Jim Ratcliffe ends up buying us? He's got his eye on getting a club and has been told Man Utd aren't for sale. Are we too small for him?

Probably not, we could be about his level would he take us to the next stage that’s the question.

I wouldn’t think we are, he has also bought Nice in France and Lausanne in Switzerland when he probably could have gone after bigger clubs in those countries if he wanted to

With him missing out on Chelsea and now being told Man Utd aren’t for sale he might start looking around?

He will ens up buying a club like ours, that's for sure. I don't see Top wanting to sell though, that's doesn't mean he wouldn't at some point but something would need to happen and probably something bad.

Like getting relegated and the fans turn on him?

I dont think Top is free of criticism - as I've said before, its perfectly fine to criticise the guy who sits as head of the table. When you sit at the head of the table, you expect or should expect the criticism.

Having said all of that. He isnt mad, he isnt "not interested". Anyone here who has had some responsibility, ran their own business etc. will know that is near on impossible. He is the benefactor of a vast empire but that doesnt mean he has no interest in it - he took interest when his dad was with him. He stands to lose significantly if we go down.

This is simply a man who is trusting his gut. He sees something that the vast majority of us, dont. While I dont agree, I think its only right we respect that - I can understand - making a decision when others feel you're barking mad. If it goes right, give him the plaudits but if it goes wrong, Top as much as anyone knows he will be front and centre in the firing line.

The madness worked with the appointment of Ranieri - you get them right, sometimes you get it wrong.

I think they've put in more money than their original investment!

Our fanbase are absolute fannies, I don't think we'd do that. There'd be a section that would turn on him but not to the extent they'd be under no illusion they are no longer wanted.

Please god no, the scatter gun approach to signings would be like the Sven days. Entertaining but would just end up halting any genuine progress and more likely than not end in tears.

approx 350m (won't let me upload the chart due to file size) including 100m purchase of stadium & writing original debts, 100m on the  training ground + various other loans to help with cashflow/losses over the years. that would exclude shirt and stadium sponsorship from king power
