Managed to get my monthly leccy bill down to £45 per month this summer so I'd rather the cold weather not come just yet.

House is electric only. No gas. It has rather inefficient electric storage heaters. When it gets cold the leccy bill will be 4× what it is in summer, if not more. So I'm hoping for a mild autumn/winter.

High of 24 to 27 celsius over here every day for the next 2 weeks with basically no rain

Had to scrape ice off the car windscreen this morning.

We've not long moved onto a new development, thought we were lucky being able to afford a house bigger than we need but completely forgot that it means every single house surrounding us comes with at least 5 kids!!, football goals, trampolines, swimming pools the lot. I swear 8 year olds were out screaming and shouting until gone 10pm most nights

 

Sods law it barely fvcking rained at all out here in Norwich over the summer but christ, me and the Mrs have been counting down the days until it starts getting dark at 4pm and hammering it down all day 

 

Always loved the Autumn and Winter, its a slightly anti social and introverts dream

I've got my thermal bottoms on and it's early September. Last Friday it was good enough for t shirt and shorts.

Just lit the log burner.

There has already been a couple of nights this week where we were tempted, including one where I put my dressing gown on over my clothes.

It was simply the fact it's only early Sept that held me back - until now.
