Don't trust Rodgers at all. Look at his woeful track record - Soumare, Vesty, Bertrand, Perez, Praet, Bennett (loan), Under

Daka was diabolical today, clueless and I'm massively worried he's lost his way which is really frustrating.

He'll never be good in the system we play. We create **** all and he's not somebody who can really create out of nothing for himself. Waste of a shirt as a lone striker.

I'd argue this season he's started to be more involved in games than he was last season but he's still got so much improving to do in the build up play. There were a few times he got on the ball and attempted to run at goal and he was calamitous.

We manage to achieve having bodies seemingly nowhere. Nowhere in midfield, nowhere in attack, but we still don't look remotely solid. Just a mess all over the pitch.

Tanner’s written an article for the Athletic, not much new but this was interesting - looks like the club are looking to spend big on a RW:

“While the summer’s business was dependent on departures, that is not the case now for a left-back and a right-winger, although the deal for their preferred target is understood to be an expensive one.”

We need statement players, we need straight into the starting 11 players, no squad type players, we’ve enough of them that already have to start week in week out. Failing to sign quality, then we need to accept we’re in for a real rough few years, because this current crop is not anywhere good enough to be challenging for top 7!!

Shocking.
Mind, there’s also Castagne, Justin, Faes, Soumare (yes I know), Lookman, Daka & sending Under & Bennett back.

Point is, there’s a recruitment team. The manager’s just a part of it, and nowhere near the most important part.

Bring on the Glover masterplan.

Wish Head of Recruitment, Martyn Glover, well ahead of this transfer window.

We have limited funds but seem to require (not listed in order of priority):

  1. A No.1 goalkeeper.

  2. First XI / top left-back.

  3. A central defensive partner for Faes (Amartey not the answer and contract expires in June & Cags also on way out plus Evans semi-permanently injured).

  4. Youri replacement.

  5. Potential Madders replacement

  6. CDM who can tackle/press/track and pass direct to a team mate over distances greater than 5 yards

  7. Right winger (outstanding since Mahrez departed)

  8. Daka support / replacement. Daka 3 goals in 15 not yet showing he is Vardy’s successor.

How’s Berardi getting on this season? Reckon we are going back in for him?

Had a couple of injury issues

Had 1 goal in the first 4 league games

Then missed 8 of the next 11, with just 61 minutes across the other 3 games
