B’mouth v Leicester post match - pathetic again

Recommended Posts

If Rodgers ends up staying, you have to question the incompetence of the board. If we get relegated we could end up in the same position as derby, the owners have been brilliant if they can not afford to sack Rodgers, what do you think it will be like in the championship. The parachute money that we receive will go to the loan that we took out for the extension. They have to serious evaluate 10 million sacking to the pathetic performance on the pitch, a better manager would have changed it earlier, the weak links were soumare and faes. I can’t still understand Maddison on the right it works once every 10 games.

How did we play before the subs?

Looked pretty good, but the 10 or so minutes leading up to the subs Bournemouth were putting the pressure on.

We were dealing with it and still creating chances, then Big Dan came on holding up 3 fingers - think the switch put them off their stride.

Heard ex pro's before say if a manager loses a dressing room though, they might not intentionally play badly and want to lose but they will be less committed, they might not make that extra sprint etc.

Less committed is one thing but not wanting to lose. Losing the dressing room is a cliched phrase for the players no longer following instructions or losing faith in what they get asked to do. And when we conceded in 30 of the last 31 away games you can see why they lose faith.

When did we last have a decent second half? What the hell does he say to them at half-time?

He must say “forget attacking, sit back, circulate the ball, hand them the initiative, then hand them the initiative again and see the game out”

Like the gambler who thinks if he sticks to the same strategy his luck is bound to change.

And ends up broke.

Rodgers needs to stop playing Ward for his sake. He’s got a wife, a family, but Rodgers is asking too much of him and he’s embarrassing himself. It’s not his fault – he’s not a PL keeper. Let the man keep some semblance of respect and don’t play him.

Not Amartey for Castagne for starters. Amartey is an absolute bombscare defender especially defending a 1-0 lead. Daka was doing well, no need to swap him, Vardy was ineffective for 25 mins.

I'd have been tempted to leave it as it was for another 10 mins. Maybe Albrighton or Perez on for Barnes who was poor but changing a defence that already has no confidence was crazy.

Amartey didn't put a foot wrong today. It didn't change anything apart from a lack of overlapping. As for Vardy, so arguably our greatest ever goalscorer shouldn't replace a tiring Daka who habdt done much in the previous 20 minutes?

Agree about Barnes, under par today.

Subs didn't kill us, lack of intensity from the players did.

Yeah I'm agreeing with you in that they won't intentionally want to lose, I don't really get your second point as that's what I'm alluding to.

That's not true. We were poor for the entire second half.

Amartey wasn't at fault for either of the goals.
