We need to see a lot more from him, and the rest of the team to be honest.

5 wins flattered us slightly, and there is no harm in admitting that.

They have a solid 2 week break now, the window is closed, no more distractions.

I have backed Nacho to do well and wanted him to stay, as did many others.

If he doesn't deliver over the next 6-8months though, then there are no excuses left for him.

Yeah.

We essentially have two strikers who need to step up to the plate (Nacho and Daka) and another who needs to pull it out of the bag (in as much as Vardy scoring 15+ this season would be a surprise, but you wouldn't rule it out.)

Plenty of games to play for all our strikers. Long season. Cups. Lots of opportunity. However we don’t have a single striker who can magically create chances consistently on his own. The team needs to find a way to feed them a bit. Hopefully our play becomes more fluid and confident soon.

Maybe he'll do that now that Pep has started doing playing two up front

...you know this will become a trend down the line, it all goes in cycles!!!

You wish clubs would be brave enough to stick to a system that suits them instead of following the trend. Just as Tennis is now dominated by baseliners and has now made the game pretty boring, serve and volley is a pretty exciting approach to the game and the difference between the two styles makes the spectacle.

Would argue it's not quite the same as he had wing backs that were constantly getting forward and whipping balls in. With our lack of conventional full/wing backs, we're getting much less early balls in than what firmino would have had.

I really meant in the way that he played the position, his movement in pulling defenders around, coming for the ball opening pockets, his hold up play & bringing others in not so much as getting a swinging cross onto his head.
Firmino wasn't there as the main goal scorer he was there to open space for Mane & Salah, Nacho needs to be doing this for the 8's to break into the box as well as wingers cutting into the free space, he will not end up the clubs top scorer but he will / should be resonsible for 7 out of 10 goals with his movement.

If there was a hall of shame you’d both be in it huns x

Ah a slavering brainless follower, been a while since you have been required I guess.  :P

In all seriousness, he needs to start to deliver with at least assists, previous seasons don’t help as the requirements now are different

Natcho is as good a provider as he is finisher which in recorded terms he is decent, though not anything more than that. With the arrival of Cannon from Everton it could be a opportunity to actually develop a front pair partnership not seen since the Vardy feeding Ulloa days.

Even Vardy feeding Shinji, just Shinji didn’t take to European cuisine, other than the overhead pancakes..

Agree, but now with our flanks covered,IMO he should be staying in that CF imaginary square, and also not drift too far back..

He ( any no9) should be concentrating on creating,or picking up those loose balls, within the square or when spread out rectangle. He shouldn’t be tredding on others toes or in their space..

He must then find it easier to score…where for him the tight space opens up.

He is, my brain struggles to reconcile his capabilities I think he has, with what we see in matches. Don’t want to tread old ground, but could he start in place of a KDH or Wilf alongside a.n.other, as a very recessed forward?

The wingers are too wide and the 8s either aren’t good enough attackers, or, play close enough to him.

The move at Elland road last season is what he’s great at, in the current set up it just doesn’t happen because the other attackers are too wide/deep.

Less structured play in the final 3rd lets Kel, Mavidi, Yunus/Abdul loose rather than trying to create via the perfect cutback every time
