Still a million miles from his best and I think that sums up why so many of us thought he'd destroy this league.

Was really isolated in the first half and given he will always show for the ball, I think that shows it was the role he was asked to play and that the team weren't great

Had a phase in the second half when he really looked hungry for the ball and came in deep to get it.

I like that hunger

I felt he was far too deep a lot of the time. He is much, much better than he had been, but a lot of the time everything was tight in the middle of the pitch with a gaping whole up front. Don't know if this is what the coach wants or if this is Nacho's natural instinct, but Vardy doesnt seem as deep. Maybe Enzo wants the contrast.

Very well taken goal though. Excellent.

I’m not sure isolated is the word when we had all 10 outfield players in their half for the whole half.

Just crowded out a bit. Their no.6 (who I was actually quite impressed with) was just tasked with the role of screening that pass off.

Interesting that Nacho and Vardy both found goals hard to come by at the start of the season.

Vardy failed to score in the first 5 league games, Nacho in the first 6.

Since Vardy's first goal he has 4 in 6 and Nacho has 4 in 5.

Wonder if it's confidence or just them and the team coming to term with the system.

Interesting.

Maybe the team finding the way and working with what Enzo wants?

He's obviously come from Man City where Haaland is a beast and dominates scoring.

But Haaland didn't score in a lot of the big games, although he did the donkey work for others.

Maybe I'm thinking too much about Man City.
