Welcome to the best thread you'll ever read, or the worst or perhaps even the best you won't read, but then the welcome is redundant.

 

 

Here's an example... and then one I've half solved for you -

 

 

1) Filberts fan unhealthily infatuated with lair of dried grass?

 

Hay den Foxe = Foxe Stalk = Foxestalk.

 

 

 

2) Webbo's finish, perhaps?

 

Painter's End = which current player??

 

 

 

3) (Same player as above) Nacho acts.

 

Ian Pretends = which current player?

Was on betamax and priced at 49p. I considered buying it as a Christmas present for a friend who likes her rosd trips but the vendor couldn’t give me the 1p change and I wasn’t sure if her player was betamax or VHS.  

 

Thinking about it now, I think she’d have ditched me if I’d given her a dirty vid as a present for the first Christmas we were dating.

Price has risen to 49p, eh? Clearly profiteering g from my new found celebrity. The scallywags.
