I mean the corruption calls are a bit silly aren't they tbf.

It's a penalty that's a good reflection of how the current wording of the rules when it comes to contact in the box just isn't good enough. But you can see why it's given by the current standard.

We've seen loads of pens given like that from soft contact and not just to "big teams."

This one is less controversial than the Ronaldo one IMO even though I don't think either should be given.

From goalkeepers I remember hardly any. Soft contract yes but I don't remember many like that at all.

I agree, that keepers can't just punch people in the face, when they make no contact with the ball (like Ederson on multiple occasions), but that was the slightest contact in a contact sport. Really disagree with that decision and the worst part is, that on another day with another ref and VAR team it is not a penalty.

Messi fell down like he was hit by a Mike Tyson uppercat. These players are also responsible for this joke of a sport.

True, but when they consistently get rewarded, they will continue with the play-acting.

Messi should have been booked for simulation. He’s cheated, he’s made a meal out of nothing to force the decision from the officials, because they’re all sat on a Messi shaped dildo’s so obviously it would be given.

For being one of the best players of all time and without looking into the stats, Messi isnt exactly Le Tiss from the penalty spot

It's definitely no Le Tiss!

He's scored 106 and missed 31.

For comparison, Ronaldo has scored 146 and missed 29.

To be fair, I dont think there’s been too many horrendous decisions in the tournament. The only ones I can think of are the two for Portugal and that one for Argentina. 🤐

I’m not really sure what Poland are doing though. They’re playing like a non-league side with one up front against four Argentine defenders. Can’t see how they’re going to hang on, never mind score.
