You can get sponsorless versions of a fair few kits, just get the generic template shirt, add an iron on club badge and save a few quid.

Plenty of custom embroidered iron on patch sellers on etsy and elsewhere for <£5 each. If you know anyone with a cricut machine (pretty common among hobby crafters), the cost for vinyl iron ons are almost negligible.
