1st Walters & now Jones to leave will put England back again just as they were starting to make progress on closing the huge gap to Ireland, this gap will now expand further with Jones mostly likely following Walters to IRE rugby.

Are Australia now that bad or Argentina starting to become a serious force?

Don’t think there is much between them now - Infact Argentina are ahead in the world rankings .

Both. Argentina are better but still very inconsistent. Like they beat the All Blacks last month but then got hammered by them a week later. Then last week lost to the Aussies then hammered them this week. They’re a bit like France of the old days when you never know what team will turn up but they are incredible on their day.

Sadly Australian rugby union has been on a slow decline for 20 years and now they have reached rock bottom. They will get better under their current coach but the Lions series will be an absolute manshaming next year.

Home and away games in the championship, I believe?  Real test is an international tournament where most teams are ‘ away’

So this year’s tournament is a bit different for travel reasons. It was:

New Zealand v Argentina (2 tests in NZ)

Wallabies v Boks (2 test in Aus)

Boks v NZ both in SA

Argies v Wallabies both in Arg

then the last two are played home and away

Thanks for looking that up.

personally I think it’s a massive step in the right direction for the Pumas to be chalking up wins against Australia and New Zealand. And handing Australian the biggest ever defeat…. I mean, they are wmerg8ng as genuine contenders now and can definitely claim to be breaking into the upper echelons of rugby’s top tier nations,,

Both.

Australian rugby has been in collapse for quite a while where as Argentina are one of the most improved rugby playing nations, if not the most improved, of the last ten or fifteen years.
