Genuinely surprised they persist with the t shirt cannons after it turned openly hostile in the last few home games last season. The amount being chucked back at them should have sent a message.

It was hilarious watching the lardarses picking up the t-shirts thrown onto the pitch, firing them back into the crowd only for them to be lobbed back. This must have gone on a dozen times before they got the message lolย

Fans in England are the weakest in Europe, ohhh fans boo, or swear at players did you lot not just see the Lyon fans tell their player on a megaphone your basically a bunch of cnuts not fit to wear the shirt and the player had to stand their with their tails between there legs. Maybe if our fan Base had the same backbone we'd still be in the prem.

Iโ€™ve seen a few of these ultra capo type videos where they publicly berate the players whilst they sheepishly listen. But what actually happens next, do the players just laugh at them behind closed doors and collect their wages? Understand these groups arenโ€™t as weird as the palace ultra fanatics cheerleading squad, and do have some power, but how much?ย

Do wish fans just wouldnโ€™t boo though, wonder whether the players know that โ€ฆย

Why? It's an opinion the same as applause. And I guarantee you most of these players have heard worse at their previous clubs.ย  As Barnes is finding out, the stick you get here is minor compared to what you get at bigger clubs. I actually thought given the crowd's reaction to him, especially during the final ten minutes of incompetence, it was obvious the boos were aimed at the ref, especially as it contiunued when he walked off.

ย

Besides it's the only time during 97 minutes that some fans show a flicker of emotion. I genuinely wonder why some of our lot just don't take a trip to the museum for all they get involved during the game.

Be fvcked if Iโ€™d have stood there and listened to that shit.ย

I don't see any problem, fans are a part of the club, the pay huge amounts of money, sometimes fans demand to talk to the players, it happens abroad a lot, not always at the game.

Could have done with a microphone in Union FS last season. Wish the likes of Maddison, Tielemans, Amartey and the rest had these sorts of home truths to face after matches.

Thatโ€™s what a few too many 1664โ€™s does to you

What difference does it make? Players aren't gonna suddenly get better just because a randomer shouts at them. Just like certain players were always gonna leave once we got relegated.

ย

Also, "the likes of Maddison". Bloke got 10 goals and 9 assists for us last season. Try including players such as Iheanacho instead.

Why does it have toi make a difference, whats wrong with telling the players how you feel, having a voice.ย  And many players have actually said it has been used to motivate the players.

Youโ€™ll see Iโ€™m quite active in the ultra thread and have an appreciation for what they can do (for the better).ย
ย

However I really dislike that part of the scene. The ultras want the players closer to the fans but when things are going wrong, they put them on the pedestal by picking them out for treatment like that. Itโ€™s not motivatingย

Why does it have to make a difference? Because surely they want them to be different/better. It's not motivating in any way. People moan now about the distance between fans and players, things like that only makes it greater. Such a strange obsession with this "ultra" scene.

I guess it depends how you look at it. You'd like to think most players would want to be different/better but that wouldn't stop a manager giving them a dressing down in the changing rooms - probably means more if it came from the fan base too.

ย

Arguably you'd have a closer relationship with the players if you shared the bad times together in the same way you would the good times. Personally think thats one of the things which make football on the continent so interesting; it's not an ultras thing it's a football culture thing.ย
