Another really sad aspect to today was the really poor reception that the Birch, Howard and Bamba got from the fans at half time. 

 

It was truly sad how little appreciation was shown

I wonder if the atmosphere is generally poor because it’s a confidence issue that people don’t want to start off or they just simply don’t want too? If I thought there might be a chance that someone would yell shut the f up to me then I might stay silent also.. sad times..

That many fans leaving early sends a really poor message to the manager and players.

I think a lot of our fans in the stadium don’t like the style of football we are playing and are taking for granted the position we have in the league. It’s still painful to hear people moaning about the way the manager wants us to play when we are winning in games. I have a feeling Enzo won’t be loved like he should be by the vast majority of our fan base.

What is the general feeling inside the stadium towards Enzo? I often hear the cry of gerrit forward picked up on the mic

probably is at home but I just feel that our fan base only sing when something amazing happens take West Brom last week a lot of the fans there considered to be quite shite pop up and start singing when we score a last minute winner but can’t be arsed to sing for the rest of the 90

I'm not too sure how we compare with other home supporters but suspect the King Power isn't unique.

Even if we are one of the worst examples of half emptying stadiums currently, I think it will spread and increase elsewhere.

The demographics are changing, or have changed. More families, more females, all seater stadia and fans becoming 'customers'. Urgh.

Singing & shouting less so, but boisterous behaviour, anger, swearing are being consigned to history.

And this has been encouraged of course, for all the right reasons. What we see is a consequence.

Throw into the mix that, perversely, those 'customers' are treated with contempt by the clubs on occassions and regularly by the likes of $ky and BT with their switching of games for TV, I suppose we shouldn't be surprised.

Just adding to the general vibe that the volume remaining at the final whistle today was absolutely shameful. We had just hammered a team 4-0 and atleast 10k empty seats by the time the whistle had sounded. The manager and players deserve much better from us as a fan base than that. And I'm not having it was just a game won, job done, let's go home/down the pub etc, as it wasn't that much different against Watford in the previous home game and that was 1-0 to the 96th minute and the team needed the fans to lift them over the line. Now I could sort of get last season when we were 4-0 down against Newcastle on Boxing Day, and the absolute shower on the pitch couldn't be bothered to run about or make an effort for people to speak with their feet and walk out early as a display of anger.

 

Also, the amount of absolute dullards that attend is astounding, I nipped down for a pee and a pie and a pint at half time, and was surrounding by people moaning about how boring the football is, and that they are fed up with us just knocking pointlessly around the back. To quote one bloke he said he enjoys when we play on the telly he can hoover up, mop the floor and make a sandwich and know he isn't missing anything as it will be just be us passing it between Faes, Vestergaard and Hermansen. The amount of groans when a ball is played backwards genuinely hurts my brain, if you want to go and watch kick and rush stuff go down to Victoria Park on a Sunday morning there will be plenty of that. The whole tactic which Maresca outlined in his video earlier in the week is about drawing teams out of their shape. It's no great shock that we score loads of goals late in games, teams tire mentally and physically from constantly chasing the ball and remaining in in their defensive shape. People need to accept its not the weird footballing anomaly that was 2016 where nobody could figure out how to deal with a team who played purely on the counter attack, our style has moved on, football has moved on, and if you're genuinely not enjoying us having nearly 50 points with over half the season still to go maybe as a fan you need to move on as well. 

 

In terms of atmosphere I think we have this superiority complex where we think we will just turn up and win, so fans feel like they don't really need to give it their all and get behind the lads as they expect us just to win every week. No coincidence that the best atmospheres both home and away came towards the end of the great escape season, where we were the underdogs but battling our arses off which was reflected on the terraces. West Brom away of that season is the best end I have ever seen from us I think.

At most you going to spend 34 hours watching city at home in the league.

 

I'm sure if you asked these people that leave early what their hobbies are. I am sure most would have following city first or second. So why would you want to waste any of those 34 hours especially as we have form for late goals this year.

 

If you love going city enough to fork out and travel in what the Fuch are you going home to do thats more enjoyable? 

 

Not to mention its fuching rude to the manager and the player who are clearly working very hard to deliver us back to the big time and hopefully some more great memories along the way (if your not halfway down Wallnut street)

100% needed, there was a few at Sheffield Wednesday at the end of the first half and start of second.

A bloke today kept saying that he didn’t like this tippy tappy stuff and that we’ve been lucky in most games. I was tempted to turn around and say something but just laughed when we scored 3 goals in 5 minutes 10 minutes after.

We should start a boo when people start leaving, or a chant of shame shame shame.

You want to know why it's embarrassing? Because whilst Plymouth are singing their side to a 4 nil defeat, you want to cut 5 minutes off your journey time rather than stay to cheer to the team you paid £30 to support . Shame, shame, shame
