Stadium atmosphere

At some point all vocal fans need a meet to see how we can group together in the ground. Can’t keep being separated

There's one group who are already doing that. If people want that then rally with UFS.

Are the club saying safe standing is coming then? They’ve been pretty much non committal up to now.

It's been talked about for a long time but the club are yet to fully commit. However, from recent discussions it sounds like they are moving along, at least on the planning side. Whether it comes as part of the expansion or before, not sure. Put it this way, the club has to introduce safe standing to not get in trouble with authorities because persistent standing happens in fairly large numbers at every match and the stadium has no safe facilities for it

I’ve not seen any meetings inviting fans to come and talk about the atmosphere but maybe I just haven’t seen it

Fans forum was heavily posted on last April time.
Likely going to be done again in the coming months. Plus the open invite after the Plymouth game which we flyered.

Most know where the group drinks but if you don’t drop me a line.

As above. Or come for a chat at a game or just message the group on here or via socials. Not a closed group by any means and always willing to have open communication.

A few things off the back of Saturday and the conversation had on this group:

  1. These types of games (putting the recent Forest away matches into this) attract a certain type of fan which you don't seem to see at every other away game. From the outside you would say they are not one bit interested in football, spending most of the match just goading, shouting at the home fans calling them every name under the sun. It doesn't help the atmosphere.
  2. Start of the game the Covs fans were good. And after speaking to one of their fans on the train back, they were worried in 2nd half that they weren't going to score, why they were so quiet. But after the 1st, and especially the 2nd goal it was very loud, not heard that in a few years, except from some European away days.
  3. Moving Union FS to L1 or the family section is completely redundant of what trying to change in the stadium. Trying to make the whole stadium loud needs these different groups in different areas, L1 needs to do there thing with the away fans, and Union FS needs to generate the atmosphere in the KOP end. Look at Cov on Saturday, didn't hear one song from behind the goal in the far end, mean't was just those guys next to the away end. Whenever this argument is brought up just always think of Palace, the Fanatics are just behind that goal and have created a very strong end. That's what we need.

Palace really don't have a strong end. Yes, they are more central but feel like they have the same issue as people around them not wanting to get involved

Different groups in different areas is the problem! You need vocal fans all together! Whether L1 come to sk1 or visa versa. Neither L1 or sk1 produce what cov did and that’s because partly there isn’t enough fans  and partly because you’ve got the wrong people in there. But separating vocal groups of fans is a large part of the problem imo

put it in bold, italics and underline and then people might really notice it pal

Plenty of people have said the same thing using the same reasoning and the same info, but we're still getting "move UFS to the North stand!", "Move everyone from SK1 into L1 after the expansion" daily lol

Can't really make it much clearer lol

why do the ultras need to be near the away fans though? if anything they'll just get drowned out. Let SK1 be SK! and if anyone wants to join - great. If anyone wants to set up a new firm in C Block then go for it.... might help spread the atmosphere. Call them UFS MK II

If/when standing comes in, part of the stipulation will be that standing in seated areas is completely stamped out.

Well I see lots of other grounds tbf standing in non standing areas that already have safe standing in place, I think it’s going to be extremely hard to sit everyone down both sides of the away fans

Personal opinion only, they'll write to all those in L,K,P saying there's a designated standing area, move there. A good number won't, but then as letters start coming through the door threatening bans etc it'll fizzle out quite quickly.

Very weird generation now. I swear these people go just to film and say they were. Get into the stands and don't make any noise at all. Obsession with going "mental" in concourse is strange to me.

Literally may as well jump about your living room. Same end product.
