Stadium atmosphere

We had to move from our usual seats in P block to let the Brum fans have their allocation.

 

Decided to give SK1 in the singing section a go.

 

Loved every minute of it. Loud, constant and created a vibe/atmosphere we've been missing like hell stuck up the other end.

 

We sang our hearts out for the full 94 mins and it sounded bloody impressive in there today.

Might be looking to change our ST seats it was that good!

Me and my mate swapped seats to give it a go and it felt like a blast into the past! Loved it and will look at moving next season!

Sat just in front of the singing section and it was constant throughout at a decent volume… even the rest of the kop got involved in the more renowned songs. Where is this in the league?

Took my two teenage kids today in SK1. Was my daughters first game and to my surprise she absolutely loved and wants to go again. She nearly pissed herself laughing with the "is there a fire drill" chant 

 

Thought the atmosphere was pretty good all game. Noticed today there seemed to be less of a reliance of the UFS boys to get songs started. Various groups around us were getting things going and everyone joined in which was great.

 

Overall thoroughly enjoyed it and only £35 for the three of us was decent vfm.

 

P.S. Thought B'Ham were very poor considering the numbers they brought.

Sit in sk1 every game but it was better than usual. New faces were much better and joined in more. Most people around me in the singing section don’t sing which is bizarre to me, but everyone got involved and it spread round the kop a bit!

Birmingham fans absolutely shocking for their numbers. Any chant they did do was recycled championship tinpot shit like “Leicesters a shithole” so cringe

Section was better today. A lot of people more up for it compared to the usual complacent dullards that don’t joint in. 
 

It’s just the lack of numbers. It felt bouncing and you could hear Birmingham songs about us being quiet, despite us really giving it a go. Noise doesn’t travel unless there’s a real number behind it.

Also, one thing I noticed watching Ipswich. Their whole ground was full despite heading into injury time, a goal down against the fourth best team in the Conference South.

 

Can you ****ing imagine if that was us?

Took my 11 year old daughter and her mate and my 18 year old son and his girlfriend today in the singing section and we are all joining in and constantly singing clapping etc for the whole game (even how dreadful the first half was) - impressed to be fair, generally good ish all game long

Felt it was good today from j1. Heard sk1 and kop a fair amount. Heard a little of the brummies but not much for 5k. 3-0 on your big day out went down well imjo

Just got back to the west country, first game in the singing section sk1 and dv king loved it. Will go there when we get to matches. Me and the boy singing our hearts out all game, loving the brummie chants and fire drill one. Didn't know some to start with joined in anyways and been singing them on they way home. 

 

After the goal went in second half felt like the atmosphere really went up a notch and everyone I could see was getting involved, didn't just need union fs to keep things going, massive credit to them BTW, to the point where we were bouncing at the end. Got no voice left now 😂

Hopefully this will encourage the club to look at expanding it because I agree with the lack of numbers the effect is limited

I moved to sk1 today (season ticket SK2)  for the game with a couple of me mates & sang all game & I thought the section was very loud.  Actually better/louder than league games.  Can tell cup games you’ve genuinely got people like myself moving to SK1 to create atmosphere rather than in the league you’ve got people in there cuz they sat  there before ufs moved in there.   Really enjoyed it in there today. 🆙 for the cup 👍🦊

Season ticket in P block but went over SK1 today as atmosphere poor over there. Most enjoyable game of the season and deffo looking to swap seats next season.

Thought it was very good yesterday. As many have alluded to, a big factor is fresh faces and not all the usual STH's. It shows there is potential.

 

All those who moved in yesterday and have talked about relocating, it can be done immediately. ST's can be moved during a season, not just during relocation periods in the off season. This is the only way atmosphere has a chance of improving for league games.
