Stadium atmosphere

I suppose the only way around that is the chant we’ve got the ball, we’ve lost the ball for 90 mins

Or "let's pretend we scored a goal" à la to celebrate KDH taking our only shot of the match against Arsenal

So, in response to the problem of no atmosphere and singing, you're going after the group of 200 or so who are actually singing?

But they aren't singing anymore than before, that's the point.

Possibly not related to the atmosphere but we had 3 Arsenal fans sat in front of us today in block G1 and they were openly supporting 'their team'. One had an Arsenal shirt on under his coat and one had a 'Come on you Gunners' lock screen on his phone. They were constantly filming every Arsenal attack and were blatantly rooting for the opposition. it was mentioned to a steward by myself after about 20 minutes and all he said was 'are they causing any trouble?' As they weren't at the time it was just a 'OK thanks we will keep an eye on them'. With 5 minutes of the match left it became to much to put up with and they were challenged about their arrogance in blatantly supporting the opposition. An argument soon spread around us but luckily it didn't escalate any further but it could have easily turned nasty. I have emailed the club asking them to explain their rules regarding away fans in the home section.

Following on from this. After a few emails back and forth had a call from the club this afternoon. The tickets had been returned to the club on the resale platform and they had been bought by a LCFC fan (assuming a S/T holder). He/she then passed them on the people who had sat there. The club has contacted the purchaser who admitted doing this and apologised. However because a complaint had been made against the people in the seats the purchaser is now facing a sanction from the club. Not sure what this will be and may never find out but it is good to know that at least something was done about it. At the time we werent happy with the initial response but we feel as though at least its potentially 1 less person who will pass on their ticket in the future.

Could even be someone from this thread! Quite a few said they didn’t see anything wrong with it and would be quite happy with away fans sat all round them.

Fair play for seeing it through the correct channels with the club. Hopefully a suitable punishment will be administered.

Bringing our own stewards to police an away end & the “random” ID ticket checks, absolutely pathetically ran club who don’t deserve the fans who spend their money on following us every week

Why are we bringing our club stewards to away games?

Usually only a thing at high risk games.

We’ve taken stewards to Forest and they bring theirs to the KP for years.

Doing it against Southampton is control freakish to the extreme

Got to be something going on, Hampshire police put a dispersal order in place for today for the game which from a quick look online does not appear to be normal
