need a fix from the absolute disaster that is lcfc at the moment. It’s like that scene in clock work orange where we are forced to watch horrific videos and can’t close our eyes. When will we be put out of our misery?

Superb that.  Particularly interesting insights about KDH and Thomas and their body language after the match.  

 

Really can't understand Smith's team selection after Fulham.  We needed players willing to get into the trenches and fight for the shirt.  Not Tielemans waddling around and Soumare strolling about. 

 

We were well beyond trying to play our way out of this mire.  I'd rather have seen us go down showing some fight from players that give a sh1t and want to be here in the Champs next season.

It was only right of me and the joint best man to deliver him 100 nuggets on his wedding day to relive it.

 

Would pay good money to see you go head to head in a nugget-off.

It's a roller coaster of a challenge. The quantity of food isn't the main obstacle, its the overwhelming nausea that comes from the taste of the nuggets.

 

The first 20 are a fcukin walk in the park, you could even say they're quite enjoyable, you don't even need any sauces. They're gone within 5 mins.

 

The 2nd 20 start to send signals to your stomach and bottom that all's not well but distraction comes with a plethora of BBQ sauce, sweet and sour and the like. An XXL coke zero will see off at least another 5-10 before anymore complaints come from the brain.

 

When you get to around 40, it's becoming a real problem. As I have said, the taste becomes too much. The fried undertones and mechanically reformed chicken sear through the sauces and they are no longer able to provide any respite. But you move on, you have to. For some of us this isn't an accident, months of planning has gone in to it. Personal bests have to be broken each time, every time.

 

The 3rd box of 20 are just a blur. Your lips start to burn immensely, your breath is pure gas and your hair smells like you've been trapped in a chip shop a week. It's about getting these ones clocked off before your body shuts down, it's a game of cat and mouse. Fight to the death. 

 

You've now entered the last moments of humanity, how has it come to this? You've spent the best part of £25 on fcukin chicken nuggets, you're nearly 40 years old man and you've enough experience on past challenges about what this does to your bottom. It'll be more upset than Greta Thunberg. Every last nugget, straight down the Gregory. One last push. Oh god, mum help me please.

 

The klaxon sounds, another PB set. You slump in your chair, sweatier than if you'd actually ran an ultra marathon. But no extreme sport could give you this rush, its only just begun as well. You'll not sleep properly now for several days. You'll hallucinate more off processed poultry than anything that you can get off the dark web. The indigestion will feel like you've just given birth to an elephant through a hosepipe. 

 

The green shoots of recovery happen when you realise the persistent wet hair, painful bogeys and squeaky tear ducts have dissipated. You can be safe in the knowledge you've not snuffed it.

One bit from Ric I thought was spot on and was around relegation being the great leveller. We've had a ridiculous 6 years, but the threat and actuality of relegation is what separates us from being a fan of a big 6 (now 7) club.

Don't think it's a coincidence that the best fan-produced content in years (BSLB and The Fosse Way) has emerged during a pretty dire period for the club. The same thing happened in the early 90s with The Fox, Where's The Money Gone, the Blue Army etc. Even UFS in 2013. Sometimes the club heirarchy take notice, often they don't, but it's times like these when supporter movements can change the mood around the place.

Fully agreed with Jord's point about singing songs about relegation. Gallows humour is all good when you're in the ridiculous situation we were against Fulham, but at 2-0 down against Liverpool at home it's fvcking weird. Like people were just bursting to sing about it.

As for the podcast, top quality content as always guys. Was good to hear Owynn on too, he seemed relaxed and was a little more open... shame you couldn't get him to swear.
