Danno Posted 31 January 2023 Share Posted 31 January 2023 Very happy with this. We get bullied all the time so having two new units in him and Kristiansen should help
Popular Post Pliskin Posted 31 January 2023 Popular Post Share Posted 31 January 2023 What I like about him is he seems to be quite proactive in the way he defends. When the team are struggling and need a lift he will go and attack a header in the CDM area or take the initiative to make an aggressive interception. He definitely looks like a front footed defender which is what we need.

Popular Post LCCFox96 Posted 31 January 2023 Popular Post Share Posted 31 January 2023 Souttar ticks all kinds of boxes: - Aggressive, physical, 6ft6 mountain of a bloke to beef up our backline - Quick enough to play our current defensive approach - Good long range distribution and comfortable on the ball - Confident and proactive in his defending - Warrior-like mentality - Cheap enough fee at a good age with room for growth - Allows us to remove Amartey from the starting 11 and shift Soyuncu on for a fee now - Excellent reviews from Stoke fans and Australians alike Very happy with this, lots of potential upside to it, and feels like a big impact signing.

It's been obvious for some time. Kristiansen and Souttar would seem to fit the bill. Is Tete a strong character? I have no idea...

Agreed and if he can recover from injuries I still think he can become something quite special. On a more positive spin though and trying to be optimistic, I think potentially the proceeds of the sale look as if they have been invested well in the shape of the three incomers. They are all of a certain age and more like the signings we used to make when things were rosey. Certainly no place for Rodgers to hide now, he's been backed! Australia finished 11th overall at the World Cup, so reckon we did alright there (I’m Aussie). His reading of the game is strong (set off the play for Australia’s opener V France and top of clearances in the championship, although sure being 6ft 6 helps that). He isn’t slow (don’t know where that’s come from - see him saving Kye Rowles’ ass against Tunisia in the clip a few have posted on here). Scored quite a few times in Australia’s qualifying stages for the WC (although admittedly we play some very weak nations in these stages and don’t believe his scoring rate for Stoke is great). 5.4 aerial duels won per game in only fully fit season with Stoke (20/21) and he did this phenomenally against Denmark in the last 20 minutes where he was basically repelling them by himself. Plenty of commentary on his injury so not gonna go into that. But Harry’s 24, will be damn helpful immediately and if his rate of development continues should be able to be sold on for significant profit as we’ve done so well so many times. Really hope this one happens, would love to see an Aussie here and reckon everything about him would be a classic Leicester signing barring injury stays away and rate of development continues to progress. Re-quoting in case anyone’s got any interest in an Aussie take now looks like Harry’s ours. But the cliff notes - Think Harry Maguire - the good version we had Also, not slow. Deceptively quick really. Mentality is fantastic as well. A fighter who showed at the World Cup he’s up for pressure moments against class players. 3

Yes, playing alongside you-know-who. Since the WC he's been worse than Amartey. And people saying this is because Faes has had to 'babysit' Thomas haven't been paying attention to how shite Castagne has been this season.
