I thought he looked very good. People keep saying he had a dodgy start, I saw he misplaced his first touch/header, but that’s hardly a massive mistake. I thought it was a classy debut

Agree. Wasn't a dodgy start at all ffs.

This lad is a top player. I'll call it now. So many good things about his performance; positioning, blocks, tackles, touch, game intelligence, stamina, passing

We've found a gem

He's class. 70 mill to Chelsea in 2 seasons sadly.

Chelsea are right *****. They'll be on the blower to his agent now. Just look what they did with Southampton's head of recruitment who replaced Glover. And they also tried to buy Lavia off them in the same window that Southampton got him from Man City.

Tete will get the plaudits, but I think VK has been the better signing! Come at me!

Could be a safe bet given that VK will still be here come September 2nd ...

I always thought Thomas’ temperament allowed Barnes to get away with murder. I have no qualms VK will put Barnes straight.

His standards are so high, not only Barnes, but I think Faes's game will improve with him beside him. Already Faes looked better against Villa. This guys a diamond, I just hope he carries on as he's started.

As opposed to the green and yellow Brazilian flag lol

Prefer that to red and white, tbh.

yeah, we've never had a danish player before....

But we don't wave Danish flags in the way we are for the Boy from Brazil.

The way he played today reminded me so much of Fuchs but a younger version.

he looked to support the attack and did it well but ultimately he was solid defensively and stopped many crosses coming into the box.

he has that steel and aggression that we have been lacking at full back.

really impressive performance.
