Love the shifting of goalposts here. He's gone from our worst ever left back to perhaps the weakest during the clubs most successful ever period.

I'm not sure he has a future with us, too early to tell, but saying he's our worst ever left back is bollocks.

I think he’s championship at best, but those who say he’s our worse ever left back never saw nicky platenaur play

The amount of excuses people can make for him is unreal. He is just a shit player.

Reminds me of when people were sure Musa would come good. He also had 1 good game and now he's playing in the Saudi Arabian league.

He is miles better than Musa though. Barnes is stinking the place out week after week and gets considerably less stick, he has been worse than Daka for months. Aside from Maddison and Faes I don’t think you can argue anyone is having a decent season for us.

What does Vardy offer over Daka or Nacho these days? Sadly, not a lot.

In the 18 months he’s been here we have been dreadful. Funny stick to beat him with.

It works both ways though - creative players need strikers to create space and get themselves into good positions. A good striker still creates space and chances for himself though, which Daka just doesn't. Last season for example, it was so much clearer and we scored statistically so many more goals and got more points with Vardy in the side rather than Daka, because Vardy could create chances for himself before his pace went this season.

People seem to weirdly make every defence in the book for Daka, because they don't want to admit he's just a bit crap and a waste of money. It seems like any por performances he has are everyone else's fault but his. How is it a funny stick to beat him with? Shouldn't he take responsibility for his own countless poor performances too?

He still isn't during the shift in timeframe either

He’s literally gotten in so many good positions today, right place every time. Yes his finishing has been poor but he’s positioned himself well…

Daka does position and move well though. He was the only one doing it this entire game until Nacho came on. His finishing is definitely worthy of criticism, but he makes stuff happen.

Are you kidding? Barnes gets absolutely slaughtered on his threads and in the match threads, like 10x more than Daka.

And Barnes has 7 goals this season vs Daka's 3 despite the fact Daka is actually the striker. Barnes has been crap since the WC, but was far better than Daka before it.

No one has mentioned Vardy, why are you trying to change the subject? We've been saying Iheanacho should be playing over Daka, not Vardy.

If he doesn't have the ability to create space or create for himself how did he bag so many for Salzburg?
