FA Cup 5th Round Draw

Bad draw in total, all but one tie has a Prem team in it and no prem head to heads bar Man U vs West Ham. If we win could be up against Southampton, Spuds, Brighton, Fulham, Man C or Man U

Or we get Ipswich/Burnley/Fleetwood/Sheff Wed. Let’s make it clear, we’re not winning the FA Cup, but we’ll make it to the quarters at least. Which is more than Liverpool can say.

I seem to remember I managed an escape well before then.  The only other time I've struggled with nutters at home was on the train back from an Everton game where it was made known to all and sundry what they felt about McAteer.  That's going back a few years though.

Dodged a few bottles at Forest and Derby but that's expected.  lol

Never had a problem at Birmingham, just only when we’ve played them at home!

Massive incentive to go on and WINNIT.

make the tickets kids for a quid and adults a fiver sell the ****er out. Bring out the clappers and the TIFOS. Swap the family stand and the Kop for a game. Go all out

Tickets will be £20 and we’ll sell half the stadium

Leicester v Birmingham scummers midweek FA Cup tie.... where have we heard that before. No matter who we get Blackburn or Brumscum it'll be a tough test. Both teams having decent season in the championship.

Birmingham are sinking like a stone. Lost their last 5 in the league. Blackburn are in the playoffs but are very inconsistent (won 14, lost 13). We should be dispatching either of these teams fairly comfortably.

Those FA Cup Saturdays are steeped in our tradition. There is a truly unique atmosphere on both sides when you get these game days especially when you are playing a team as far removed from who you would normally play.

For someone who hasn't had the privilege of growing up with this competition in the country it is so fondly thought of spout off about this tradition and be ignorant of what these Saturdays mean needs to seriously have a word with himself then STFU!

There’s a huge irony to what he’s saying when the most popular round of the German Cup is the opening Saturday of the season and all the games are played across the weekend. It’s like our version of the 3rd Round. The interest for the Pokal then falls off substantially until the latter rounds

you can't make it to a QF, an not expect to play another premiership team. There is never going to be 4 or more below premiership teams in the QF.

Probably depend on who is playing the Sunday before ?

Which is League Cup final, and likely to be Man Utd involved in that.

The PL games on the Sunday before are Man Utd vs Brentford and Spurs vs Chelsea.

Plus, their midweek kick-off times are even grimmer than ours. You're talking half 5/6pm on work nights for some of them.

Why do we have to make it clear we’re not winning the FA Cup?
We’re still in it, Arsenal, Newcastle, Liverpool and Chelsea already gone.

A good draw gives us the chance of making the last 8.

Once your in the last 8 it’s anyones… not saying we’re definitely going to win it, and the 2 Manchester clubs are big favourites, but let’s not write us off just yet.
