Blackburn 2-1 loss post match

Recommended Posts

Im so tired of saying the same thing after every narrow defeat. Throwing on as many strikers as you can at the expense of the midfield creativity does not give you a more attacking threat. Theres no gameplan behind it whatsoever and it never fcking works! And second, stop giving away stupid fcking fouls in injury time to give them the chance to waste time you bunch of thick twats. Its just school boy stuff that they deserve to lose for

Impossible not to be somewhat hyperbolic after what is another abject & pathetic display. It's happening with such alarming regularity that it shouldn't be a surprise anymore. But somehow, tonight still managed to surprise and rankle.

That has to be the end of Thomas's, Amartey's and Soumare's time at the club. There can be no defending any aspect of their play.

Although he will hide behind a squad bereft of quality, Rodgers has to take a big chunk of responsibility for that. It's fortunate for him that we are in the final quarter of the season. Anything less and that surely would be the end.

Mendy has played himself into consideration for a new contract IMO.

Aside from the above. The way we were set up was disgusting from Rodgers. Thomas should never start again for us. Soumare flashes of quality but lapses in concentration terrible. Rodgers has some blame for asking him to keep passing back to defence. He’s good going forwards.
Please, let’s not see Vardy as sole striker again. It’s too much to ask of him at this stage of his career.

Why is our tempo so slow? Movement non-existent. We saw it towards the end. You have to conclude that Rodgers does not want us to play fast football. Slow tempo is our normal.
