We could sell him to a Championship club or just wait until we are a Championship club.

 

Not premier league standard, but nor is Ward. We need to replace both (or keep one as 3rd choice and sell Smithies)

Not at all, because contrary to the popular opinion Ward does actually make saves.

The reason he's left so much space is because the ball is given away when after he's passed it from the right hand side of the penalty area. Then it's a case of getting back (which he can do better at) but if he charged across to the other side of the goal, he's got 0 chance of getting it if it's close to the near post because his momentum wouldn't allow it.

 

Still made several great saves and showed he's clearly better than Ward with far more potential (or at least an unknown as to how good he can get). Still, Rodgers will look at that still image and ignore the context so he has an excuse to drop him.

Yeah, not said he hasn't have I, pointing out a number of saves Iversen made tonight, Ward wouldn't have got anywhere near. In addition it was nice to see a keeper actually make some contact on a corner instead of acting a tit looking for fouls

His kicking is embarrassing. He will never be a premier league keeper for this alone. Finish the season with Ward, sell them both in the summer and buy a proper number one ffs.

Still prefer Iversen to get the next games. Maybe he does well. We know what Ward can do, pick the ball out the net.

Ward would have, but its the in thing to say he wouldn't. He's made plenty of saves similar to Iversens.

 

I mean neither keepers is brilliant, so if we try Iversen, great let's see how it goes, but let's not make out its gonna be an upgrade, its either the same or worse.

Don't see Ward making either of the very good saves Iversen did tonight, but each to their own. We don't know if he'll be an upgrade though, be nice to judge him after an actual run of games, not just being chucked in with a rotated defence.

In his defence he probably wasn't expecting someone to have the ball on the edge of our box when his defender was on the ball under 0 pressure 3 seconds before
