Maybe. But one looks like a professional sportsman (ie the Titanic, which at least looked as if it could function)  and the other doesn't look like an elite sportsman (the Hindenburg, which looked an absolute death trap from the get go)

I thought tonight shone a very bright light on why he’s not first choice. I was disappointed that he’s not the keeper I thought he might be.

He made some good saves prior to this, but this one was straight out of the Danny Ward positioning book - in fact Ward might have saved this one, as there is no way that Danny's fat arse would have had this much hang-time.

This is nonsense from majority of people here. Iversen looked a million miles better than the clown tonight. First goal he looks out of position because of Amartey’s clanger. 

 

He played very well in championship last year so at least we know he’s that level, could be better. Rodgers reluctant on playing KDH who played well in the championship last year as well.

 

Even if Iversen proves not to be prem standard can’t be worse than bloke who is behind Forest’s number 3 goalkeeper and has a phobia of footballs

Made a couple of big saves but have to say his positioning for the first goal was poor, even taking into account Amartey’s mistake. I saw enough of him last season to still believe he is the better keeper between himself and Ward, but last night, will give Rodgers the opportunity to stick with Ward for the remainder of the season.

Both our keepers looking like they lack the fundamentals, Ward is just plain shit but Iverson dropping a stinker is more worrying given his previous plaudits albeit in the Championship.

 

Any accountability on the shoulders of the goalkeeping coach maybe? Of course not, another free ride for someone who isn't very good. 

 

Edit, "stinker" is a bit harsh but he positioning for the first is pure FIFA Pro Clubs level.

His positioning is because of the desire to play out from the back, he was over there to be available for a pass, Amartey then gives it away. 
 

I don’t blame Iversen at all here, it’s what he is told to do. 
 

We have little to lose from giving him a run of games instead of Ward, IMO.

I'd still be starting Iversen - if Ward can survive this seasons worth of horrendous form. Iversen is poor on that first goal but I'm not exaggerating when I say we ship 4+ with Ward playing yesterday. He did make some good saves.

Ward has made clanger after clanger, it's unfair scrutinising Iversen's first mistake as if it's on par with Ward's portfolio.

Hard to argue with that, but that’s also because we’ve set the bar so embarrassingly low.

The first goal doesn't look great but I think it is circumstance rather than technical flaws. Let's see him behind the first choice defence, too, before really judging.

His pass to Soumare for the second goal was woeful, it's not just the first goal that is the one mistake.

plus he makes his body wide and star shape,and not like a shrinking violette like Ward….
